Vehicle Detail

This is a fully customized 1974 Nova 2 door coupe. Vehicle has less than 78k actual original miles on it. Phoenix car since new, owned by the same family since 1975. This vehicle had about 11k miles on it when my wife purchased it as her first car. This is a rust free desert car driven out of Phoenix only a few times since new. It originally had a rather animec 170hp 350 2bbl V8, TH350 A/T, power steering and A/C as the only options. I purchased it from the wife's family and went about changing all of that starting in about 1994 (some of these changes are recent). List of changes follows: 1991 Police 350 V8 with roller lifters and rockers. Edlebrock 4 bbl intake, 650 CFM carb with matching aluminum valve covers. New valve job and timing chain. Low mile engine from a wrecked Caprice Police interceptor. 700R4 A/T, custom drive shaft and 3.08 to 1 posi-traction rear axle. 4 wheel power disc brake system from Stainless Steel Brake Corp. All new suspension--includes Energeny Suspension brand polyurethane bushings and dust caps everywhere. New ball joints, new big block front coil springs, new rear standard duty leaf springs and shocks. Oversized front and rear Hellwig brand stabilizers with polyurethane bushings. Custom built dual exhaust has "h" pipe and a Magna-Flow two in/out single muffler. Sporty sounding exhaust note. I went for a Grand Touring interior look and feel: Twin front high back bucket seats with matching rear seat. Full front floor console with shift on the floor. Nice carpet and headliner were both re-done with the seats. Tilt steering wheel. Professionally recovered dash pad. Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo with 2 rear amps and 12 inch subwoofer. New quartz clock moves like a fine Swiss watch--keeps perfect time. New glove box liner. Factory original Rallye style 15 inch wheels. Matching tires are a few years old but have fewer than 200 miles on them--they look and feel just like new. SS style rocker trim and underhood brackets. Brand new Cowl Induction hood. Custom tail lights--reverse light delete. Brand new tinted windshield with built in radio attenna. Fresh rebuilt 120 amp alternator. Drive it home! Needs: A/C recharge. Minor work required on and under the dash. Wiper motor fails to fire up. Paint. Original gold color was changed to 1996 GM Polo Green. Clear coat failed and peeled off in the heat. Needs paint! Powerful and very fast. Not recommended for kids. More good photos coming soon! On Mar-24-16 at 11:38:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Just one last note...you could spend lots of money to correct damage related to the local environment--damage from rust, excessive moisture, ice, salt and body repairs. Original mid 70's Nova cars are well known for their low factory horse power engines, weak brakes, soft suspensions, dangerous open rear ends, among other issues related to comfort and handling. You will spend much less on this performance modified southwest desert car needing only a few simple things. Right now this is a very nice driver--needs only a few minor parts, fresh paint and some tinkering to bring it up to show quality. Health issues forces this no reserve sale.
