Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1979 Chevrolet Corvette, 4 speed. Only 10% of the entire Corvette production was equipped with a manual transmission. Ours was one, and interestingly, ours does not have power windows or air conditioning. So, one could assume that the car was ordered to be as light and as quick as possible (for 1979). She doesn't even have power door locks. She was as close to a 1979 muscle car that one could order. Yet she was ordered with remote sport mirrors and aluminum rims. (T-tops are painted). She produces 200 horsepower and, due to her relatively low weight, accelerates "briskly". But if you are looking a this Vette you are not seeking blistering 0-60 times. Perhaps you are like me. I was in high school when this car was made. Hence, she has a certain sentimental value to me. As I own a professional classic car restoration facility (private, for my cars only), I decided to give this Corvette a very high end respray. No ordinary respray, we removed everything, glass, doors, end caps, rocker moldings, rubber, etc. We removed most of the interior. In other words, a very comprehensive paint job. Assume it cost $20,000. Also, we replaced all of the rubber, added a new windshield, new tires, new brakes, new lenses (front and back), new emblems, new rocker covers, new speakers - all of them (dash included). New center console (they always look shabby - as they were painted) The list goes on and on. This is the best fiberglass paint work you have ever seen. Truly show winning. I even have the original t-top carrying bags. Oh, and a vinyl front bra for paint protection is included (old school). We detailed under the hood, new paint here and there. With only 54,000 miles, she was already tidy. All of the gauges work and we fixed the problematic parking brake. She runs 100%. Clutch - excellent. Brakes - new, T-tops - no leaking (new rubber), power steering pump is new (was leaking), new tires - polished original rims. Headlights work perfectly. Wipers too. Stereo is aftermarket and better than new, for sure. I have most original paperwork and the original car sticker too. You might think that she is a bit poochy to drive - not so. Actually, she is quite fun and, of course, garners a ton of looks and thumbs up. Why am I selling - well, she is done. Time to restore my XKE, which just arrived and the parts for it are very expensive. I need the money. There is nothing wrong with this Vette - come see it and test drive her. Also, due to the age, she is being sold as-is, where is. There is no warranty implied or inferred. I have no doubt that she is dependable and will be so for a long time, but I cannot warranty a car this old you understand. We ask for a $500 deposit via paypal. The balance is due within 7 days of the close of the auction, no excuses. I report non paying bidders. Good Luck On Mar-18-16 at 23:38:33 PDT, seller added the following information:
