Vehicle Detail

I want to start off by asking you to please call for honest answers BEFORE you bid. Or better yet, come by and look at the vehicle or have someone inspect it for you. I do the best I can describing my vehicles and I include very good pictures that can be expanded. I do this to try and avoid any misunderstandings. It is impossible to list every little item on a vehicle that may or may not be important to a buyer. Thanks. Also, please read the payment section carefully. I will not vary off of what is explained there. Cashiers checks may have hold put on them by my bank. My bank will give me a letter of how long the hold will be. I will forward a copy of the letter to you. The length of hold depends on the bank that it is sent from. Some smaller banks can take up to 10 business days. The car will not leave here until my bank says the check has cleared. No exceptions. That is why I like wire transfers and cash. This is a super cool and rare Pontiac Ventura 4 door hard top / flat top. Most of these flat tops were Catalinas or Bonnevilles. The Venturas were on the shorter wheelbase like the Catalina but had the higher priced trim level of the Bonneville. These old flat tops are in big demand right now for cruising around them in, and for long road trips. When all of the side windows are down, it is almost like driving a convertible with a bimini top. Absolutely no blind spots anywhere. This car has always been garaged and only has 67342 original miles. Absolutely 100% rust free now and never, ever, had any rust. Driveline: This car has the optional high performance 2 barrel 389 V-8 and the optional 4 speed hydromatic automatic transmission. Both run out very well with no issues. The only item that is not factory under the hood is the change to an alternator from the generator. Power brakes and steering. No A/C. It has newer Coker reproduction bias ply wide white wall tires all around. Brakes stop like new. It steers very easily. All new exhaust. Body: The body has mostly original paint that is in very nice shape considering it's age. Still shines very well. There are some touched up rock chips, nicks, & scratches as you should expect for an all original car. The left front fender looks like it may have been repainted years ago. Very good match if it was. All weatherstripping is original and in very good shape. Glass is all in very good shape and the side windows roll up and down like new. Doors close like new. Chrome and SS trim: All chrome and stainless steel trim is all in excellent condition. No pitting and no need for any money spent here unless you just want it shinier than it already is. The only drawback is bumper condition. The chrome is excellent, but both have some small dents. The rear is the worst. Front hardly noticeable. Personally, I don't think they are so bad to warrant a dent repair and re-chroming, but you can decide. Even the chrome around the windows is pit free. Interior: The interior is all original and is in excellent condition. No rips tears in the seats and the material is still very pliable. It has the tri-color scheme of the Bonnelvilles. All factory gauges work as they should, including the "green" cold light. The radio plays like new with no static. Dash chrome and paint is in excellent condition. Steering wheel has no cracks. ( real rarity ) The wipers work, but sometimes they do not shut off. Not sure if it is the switch or a timing problem with the wiper motor / blade positioning? I have it unplugged under the hood. All lights work including the back up lights. Carpet and headliner are very nice. Underside and trunk: The underside has some minor surface rust but absolutely no rust holes anywhere. Same with the trunk and floor pans. The original trunk mat and spare tire is still in the trunk area. All in all, this is a super nice original car. It is one of the best original cars I have owned. I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere or any distance. I do have a 1960 factory Pontiac try-power intake in excellent shape for another $250.00 if you would want to consider running a tri-power system, ( that would be a very cool thing to do ) You could even just run the original carb in the center and run 2 dummy carbs on each end. I know I am forgetting something here, so call for questions and more details. I have a clear Missouri title that is in my name and matches the VIN tag. I will not give out my reserve price. Please do not ask. If you want to make a resonable offer to stop the auction, please do so by email and include your name and contact info. I will not stop the auction though once the bidding hits the reserve. NO TRADES, PLEASE DO ASK ASK. You can make a reasonable offer if you wish, but I will not end the listing once the auction hits the reasonable reserve price. Now for the business end. I encourage you, or someone you trust or hire, to come by and check out the vehicle in person. I will refund your deposit if the vehicle does not match the above description. The vehicle does not leave here until all funds clear my bank. Bank and cashiers checks can take up to 10 business days. My bank will give me a letter stating the date when the check will clear. I will forward a copy of the letter to you. Bank transfers can take up to 2 days depending on what time of the day it is initiated on your end. Again, my bank will let me know when it clears. Cash is great if picking it up in person. Call me at 314-732-592five to get honest answers to all of your questions BEFORE YOU BID. Thanks, Dave I do not respond to text messages For you new members, please don't bid unless you know and accept how ebay works and understand that you are legally committing to purchase if you bid. Not following through with a purchase after winning an auction for a new member can result in ebay canceling your membership. Thanks to all, good luck with your bidding, and have a great day, Dave 314-732-592five
