Vehicle Detail

for sale is a 1977 mgb convertible, has replace almost all parts on this vehicle, upgrade rear shocks to Monroe. new top. all new brakes including master cylinders, flushed out and dot 4 fluid installed. have receipts for many other parts, if interested feel free to call me at 812-403-0550. my name is bill. I have owned this car for 6yrs and had lot of fun with it. rebuilt the engine 7,000 miles ago and replaced the clutch and pressure plate, release bearing. replaced the complete wiring harness under hood and dash wiring with brand new. I have spent over 3,000 dollars on this car and realize that I will have to make sacrifice by selling it. the main reason I am selling it is, I have arthritis in my wrists its hard to take long trips and shifting, and also have trouble getting out. I am 65yrs old and would love to find a good home for my little car. would be nice to find a good person that would take good care of it. thanks again. I have receipts for over 3,000 in parts not including my labor.. I am not going to give this car away, put way to much time and sweat and also my heart into it. I drove this car for the last time, September last year, took it on a trip from here in southern Indiana down to the Smokey mountains in Tennessee. drove and average 65 to 70 mph and got 35 miles to the gallon. round trip was over 800 miles with no breakdowns and no issues. I was a Chevrolet certified technician for over 20years so I do know quite a bit about cars. this car is not intended for someone over 6ft tall. and also it doesn't have a tilt steering wheel. this vehicle has a clear title, not a salvage title, not a underwater vehicle either. I have raised the listing price some because, some people will wonder if there is something wrong with it at the lower price. I have checked other mgs on ebay, some are mint condition, asking price 18,000 dollars, my car is not a mint condition show car. and its not one of those that are sitting on a trailer in pieces with no frame underneath. I'm pricing it at what I know its worth because I have receipts for over 3,000. I didn't spend all that money and time in it to give it away. I wouldn't be afraid to jump in it and drive 2,000 miles without any worry. . but other than that had no other problems with the mechanics of the car. I have driven the car a total of 19,000 miles since I purchased it on 11/30/09. ps this car is not listed as an original back to original car, I replaced the cheap seats with a pair of Pontiac sunfire seats. replaced the back up lights with extra brake lights! didn't really need back up lights when all you need to do Is turn your head. the shifter knob was my idea also old school. but easier to grip. this car is not a rusted out piece of crap. would like to let people know ahead of time this car is not intended for someone over 6ft tall. and also it doesn't have a tilt steering wheel.
