Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1966 El Camino (ram air)home made Hello and thank you for looking! Here is my 1966 Chevy El Camino. I originally got this car for a parts donor. As I looked at it more and more, I found out how great this whole car was. So over the last few years, this is what was done: frame off, rebuilt 350 motor, 700 r transmission rebuilt new, brakes all around, new hoses and brake lines, air shocks and regular shocks in front, new carb, power steering, water hoses, belts, light bulbs, grille, bumpers and emblems. This car was painted a few years back - the paint would probably be a 6-1/2 on a scale of 1 to 10. It looks incredible. The tires are new - three the same - one tread slightly different - you can't tell - wheels have a little chrome flaking off - not bad - you can see the worst one in the pictures. Doors open and close pretty close to perfect. The stainless, glass, hinges, steering and ride of car is incredible. This car has highway gears with an over drive trans which allows car to cruise 70/80 effortless. The frontend, alignment steers as straight as it came from factory. The brakes on the other hand have a harder time stopping being that this motor is very strong. The seats are from a 2007 VW Passat, center console from an S/10 blazer, seat belts are original after market. It has a custom built air cleaner off a 1994 Chevy truck with the second air intake from a different air cleaner welded upside down. This car is a driver, show and shine ready. I have described my car to the best of my ability. It is an incredible auto yet has a few flaws like the chip on the hood. All the glass in car is nice, the locks on the vent windows are not there. It has a real nice after market radio.
