Vehicle Detail

This a very nice pickup with little use. I have owned it since 2007 but don't drive it very much and it has always been under roof. Wife drove it the most picking up grand-daughter for baby sitting. Trip to hardware store every now and then. The best feature on this truck is the generator!!!! I have used it several times when the power goes out. The truck has four 120 Volt recepticals which will provide 4 individual circuits. I usually have the refrigerator on one, the freezer on one and then use the other two for satellite, tv and Internet with last feeding lamps. It has gotten us trough several long outages. The good part is the truck generates this power just idleling!!!! We didn't have to listen to a loud gas generator roaring the whole time or worry with filling up gas cans or a generator tank. After running all day and night, the tank is no where close to needing to be filled. Simply crank the truck, push one button, turn the key to the off position and the generator is on and powering the circuits. The instrument cluster shuts down and truck just idles ever so smoothly. It kept freezer and refrigerator just like normal and never even lost the ice cream. It is what some call a mild hybrid. After the truck is to normal operating temperature and if you press the brake and slow the truck to below 14 mph, the engine shuts down. For example when pulling up to a red light or stop sign. The instruments and equipment continues to run without interuption but the gasoline engine is no longer running. When you let off of the brake the engine resumes instantly. You do not hear it cranking but an electric motor starts it without any noise. It is just suddenly back to running. If you release the brake momentarily, the engine resumes running. If you keep your foot on the brake after it strops running, it runs all the other functions via the hybrid system. I have never had the least bit of trouble from the entire hybrid system. It works flawlessly. The only work that ever needed to be done was a break job. I should have taken it to the Chevrolet place but I thought it is just brakes. When it went into the shop, the brake light wasn't on. After the brake job was done and I went to pick it up, I gave them the credit card, and then they said, "Oh,by the way, you have a brake light on!" I told them it wasn't on when I brought it to them, they agreed but said they didn't how to fix it!!! So, it went to the Chevrolet place and they had to replace the instrument cluster. They restored the mileage correctly but all the other logged info started over again. It stated how many hours the engine had been run since new, how many gallons of gas had been used, what the over all average of mile/gallon and such. I want to sell because I have developed an interest in another truck being sold by someone. My wife wanted an automatic generator for the house which I installed so I don't need the generator any longer. It gets washed but hardly driven. Want to buy something that can be used for trips. It does have a Sport satellite radio that is still on and being used when we do drive it. I cancelled the membership a year ago because we didn't drive it enough to justify paying for the service. They have yet to turn the service off. It loads up all the channels just like I never canceled. Who knows? I think they have somehow just lost track of it and now I get free service. Don't know how long that can last, but have had it for a year now for free. I plan to leave it in if I sell it. It has a stainless steel exhaust system, so I can't see it ever needing anything replaced on it. It had a special air filter unit added that is supposed to increase gas mileage but I don't think it actually does a whole lot. I checked the Kelly Blue Book on this truck and see it has held its value extremely well. Be sure to check for younrself but here is some of the numbers that I pulled up: Sell to private party-Fair $17,531 Good $18,533 Very Good $19,860 Excellent $20,755 Trade in to dealer-$16,308---$20,155I personally consider this truck in very good condition. I would think if you take care of this truck, it will continue to keep an excellent resale value. WOW! This is something I almost forgot to mention. The insurance on this truck has always recieved the benefit of being a hybrid. It has always been the cheapest full coverage insurance that I have ever bought. Why? Because the federal government makes the insurance company give a cost breake because it is a Hybrid. I sure didn't complain about that. I just spent $39 for a car fax report trying help viewers. 2006 CHEVROLET SILVERADO C1500 VIN: 1GCEC19T16Z148484 4 DOOR EXTENDED CAB PICKUP No accident / damage reported to CARFAX2 Previous owners3 Service records availablePersonal vehicle21,417 Last reported odometer readingWorth $180 more than retail book valueThis CARFAX Vehicle History Report is based only on information supplied to CARFAX. Make sure the loan has been paid off if you're buying from a private seller.Hmm, we haven't received any information on this car since October 2011. Before you buy, ask the seller for recent service or repair records. I have always changed the oil regularly. 3000 max interval. The battery is about a year old. Napa 72month. I was thinking about putting in a "spray in bed liner", white, but got to thinking buyer may not want it. If truck sells and buyer wants, I may be willing to have it done before it ships. Will look nice but does make it hard to move things in and out. Thing won't slide around easily in the bed though. Seriously, when you crank this truck, you won't hear a cranking noise at all. It is like flipping a switch, and it is running. From no noise to running instantly. I am still amazed by this. It will be hard to go back to the old crank noise. I don't see many of these trucks on the market and I think most are just being held on to. It is a comfortable truck, not one you have to climb up into or get down into. It is just the right height for us older gents. I pulled a camper once with no problems and it has the trailor pulling button to use when pulling a trailor to protect the transmission. The 5.3 eight cylinder engine has the pick up speed and power if you really need the truck power part of a vehicle. The tool box goes also. Jack has never been pulled out. Never had a flat, just had tires replaced in past. I am sure the reciept is in glove box if you want to know when and what the mileage was at the time. It does have rear air for back passenger and they can set it on what they chose. You won't be disappointed in this truck if you use the generator when power is out. It will provide hours of power on a tank of gas. I haven't used up a tank on gen power but I would expect you would get a couple of days or more. Then just kill it, pull the plugs, crank it back up, drive it to the station, fill it up and back to the house for a couple more days. So simple. Hope this answers all your questions but if not, fill free to ask. Please don't bid if you are not going to follow through with purchase and have the funds ready. I am wanting to buy a truck that is for sale now and I just hope it stays for sale until this sale goes through, so I really don't want to have to relist because of winner backing out after auction closes. Thanks for looking. Will be glad to assist with shipping if needed. I have shipped about a dozen autos from buying cars on eBay. So don't worry about being stuck to a time deadline to get truck moved. Sometimes it takes a little time to get the best shipping price from a good shipper. It will stay under roof and not driven until you are ready, but truck has to be paid for in full as per auction description. As stated earlier, I need the funds to purchase another truck. The sale will be final and because of truck being 10 yrs old, there is no warranty. The truck is in top notch condition but this truck is being sold "as is". I can add pics of anything on truck you would like to see better. Just let me know what you would like. Thanks for looking. On Jan-25-16 at 16:42:41 PST, seller added the following information: I have a truck cover that goes with the truck as well. I take the radio antenna off to put the cover on but it is on the dash and screws right on. Going to look at adding some pics and a link if I can. eBay wouldn't let me put any more on the page. On Jan-25-16 at 18:06:41 PST, seller added the following information: I added a couple more pics at ritchyrick.smugmug.com. Shows the generator providing power to cord and manuals and window sticker.
