Performance car with high mileage that still LOVES to drive. Quiet, powerful V6, solid, great handling, very smooth, and very clean inside and out. 5-speed manual transmission still shifts like new. Original owner, engine has 240K miles, top half of engine was rebuilt around 200K. Well maintained with many new/newer parts, including suspension and rear brakes. Still getting 22 mpg in-town to 30 mpg hwy. Passed inspection in June but has some aging issues, including: oil leak in 1 cylinder (likely requires new head gasket); front brake calipers should be replaced/rebuilt; heater core may need to be replaced (poor heat in extreme cold weather); cruise control not working; some rust, mainly exhaust; other minor things. No accidents, frame is solid, body and interior are in great shape. Still on the road and a joy to drive. Great for a VW lover/do-it-yourselfer who has some experience with these great machines.
