Fuel Tank - 13.2 gal. Trunk - 14.2 cu. ft. It is time to pass on this very rare all original 81 Delorean. I purchased it in 2003 from a collector who had it wrapped in plastic on jack stands. I only drove it to and from car shows and kept it stored in my garage when not in use. It had 5300 miles on it when I purchased it, it now has around 8300 miles. I took off and kept the original German-made tires and replaced them with similar Michelin tires. Many true collectors have asked about the original tires, they are very rare and mine only have 5300 miles on them. They are included with this auction. I have been transferred across country and haven't started the car in a while. It ran last time I put in the garage, but, I'm sure it will take a little tinkering, as they always do, to get it started. The car is in wonderful condition, no dings or scratches to mention, the interior in terrific shape. I put a new battery, fuel pump and tires when I got it. I have a wonderful facts book that comes with the auction as well. I take it to car shows and everyone loves it. It has allot of Delorean information in it as well as articles, corporate memos and even original magazines that featured the Delorean. I even have the original window Sticker and bill of sale when it was purchased new. I also have all the Factory shop manuals including all the recall and update notifications as well. It is quite a collection of folders and documents. They are included in the purchase as well. As you can see, I am a huge fan and it is hard to pass on the car, but it is time for me. I was mistaken saying they were 8600ish earlier. It's lower! Many were asking, so I added some new photos of the interioras well as the manuals and the orginial tires. See below.
