Vehicle Detail
This sweet little rascal is a true barn find / survivor. It was kept in an old bank barn since the early 1980's and was only recently pulled out to sell. This car is an all original Honda S600 which was made from 1964-1966. The convertible is the more common model and was made for the entire 3 years these cars were in production. The coupe version was built from March of 1965 thru 1966. I bought this car at an estate auction about 2 years ago. I have not had the time to play with it and it is in the exact condition that I received it. All original interior, leather seats, wool carpet, ect.. The passenger door glass is cracked but there is new glass for the car in the boot. The previous owner had not started that car for years. The engine did turn over easily when we loaded this car. The body looks straight and solid all the way around the car. I did not see any major dents. The paint appears to be original and has lost its shine. I have 4 original hubcaps that will go with the car as well. The engine is complete and comes with freshly cleaned carburetors. On Jan-21-16 at 04:41:57 PST, seller added the following information: I have received a number of emails with similar questions so I will attempt to answer them all here. 1. The photos have been updated to show the undercarriage. I am sorry about the poor quality of the photos but I do not have a lift available to get a clear undercarriage shot. 2. I spend about an hour trying to figure out how to open the hood for engine pictures. It appears that the cable release is missing. Therefore, the owner will need to remove the front hinges to access the engine bay. I am sorry I was unable to get any photos of the motor. The carburetors were removed, cleaned, and rebuilt about a year ago. I am guessing the mechanic shut the hood and didn't realize the cable was missing. 3. I do have a clean and clear Virginia title for the buyer 4. I have the original key for the car and the buyer will receive that as well. 5. When I purchased the car, I was also able to purchase another complete motor out of another S600. This engine will be available to the buyer for an additional $2,000. 6. I will do whatever I can to assist with shipping. I can provide open or enclosed transport to anywhere in the US. Please message me for a shipping quote. If you choose to use a commercial carrier, I can help load the car. 7. Best of luck! Somebody is going to end up with a sweet little car. On Jan-22-16 at 10:02:06 PST, seller added the following information: Update* Apparently I'm not a Honda guy. With your help, I discovered the hood release is on the passenger side. Nothing is wrong with the latch cable. I now have photos of the engine bay, motor and VIN plate. EBay will not let me upload them to this listing. I have uploaded a video at https://youtu.be/E4fWhIYv5YsOn Jan-23-16 at 15:17:51 PST, seller added the following information: Yet another update. I'm sorry for the many additions. I am getting a lot of information from generous collectors out there. It appears that this car has a PB-31 paint code. The original paint code label is on firewall. What this means is the car came from the factory as a Pacific Blue, instead of red. I have been told that this color is extremely rare, as most came in a white or red. I was able to verify the engine number as well. It is the correct engine as recorded on the VIN tag. The additional motor I have has a serial of 1011385. If you would like to see photos of any of these tags or any additional information, please message me. EBay will not allow me to upload any more photos, sorry.
