HERE WE HAVE A GREAT START FOR YOUR NEW DREAM VETTE It was parked in a garage in 1998 by the previous owner because he could not find time to drive it so he cancelled the insurance parked it in the corner and forgot about it, It is a 1974 corvette sting ray , it is in good running driving cond , the year before it was parked he had the corvette center in denver semi restore it with new paint , complete weatherstripping and other stuff but I can't read the receipts due to being left in the car and have faded out over the years , I SEE NO SIGNS OF EVER BEING WRECKED he changed out the 74 rear bumper for a urathane one because the original was cracking , the front original bumper is now all cracked up and coming apart a common problem with that year ,so i ordered a new one from EKLERS and is included with car will just need to paint both front and rear bumpers to match rest of paint is great driver quality not perfect but not worth a repaint in my opinion, the rest of the body seems very nice and tight with no cracks that i can find, the T tops fit very nice and tight, all the window glass is in great cond and roll up and down as they should. THE ENGINE is original # matching TRANS is also original had a new clutch a few thousand miles ago along with brakes and ball joints, runs out very well shifts great no noise in trans or engine 95000 original miles , ALL THE GAUGES WORK INCLUDING THE TACH " RARE " HEADLIGHTS, WIPERS ALL WORK AS SHOULD THE ONLY THING I CANT GET TO WORK IS THE HEATER FAN MOTOR AND RADIO THE INTERIOR COULD USE SOME HELP NOTHING RIPPED OR TORE UP JUST OLD AND DIRTY I would put a carpet kit in it i think that would really make it nice , everything else would clean up great dash is good,I purchased it from his wife as my new winter project but I dont have the time to finish it before spring so i'm going to let someone else play with it I BOUGHT A BATTERY AND FRESH GAS TODAY FIRED RITE UP DROVE IT ABOUT 150 MILES NO ISSUES OF ANY KIND !!!! CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY SO I CAN END AUCTION AT ANY TIME !!!!!!! On Jan-23-16 at 17:05:28 PST, seller added the following information: the new front bumper came in today added new picture , took it out for a short drive again today has been setting outside in the cold all week started rite up drove fine. does have a few exhaust leaks at the mufflers looks like they have a hole rusted in them from setting all the years but also seems to be the original exhaust system so it could use a couple of mufflers at least, AGAIN THIS CAR HAS BEEN IN STORAGE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS , IT IS NOT NEW BUT IT DOES RUN AND DRIVE GREAT , AND HAS A VERY NICE BODY ,NO CRACKS OR DAMAGE , COULD USE A GOOD BATH , INTERIOR IS DIRTY , COULD USE CARPET AND A TUNE UP AND A COUPLE OF MUFFLERS THAT IS ABOUT ALL I CAN SEE , DEFINITELY ONE YOU COULD DRIVE AS IS ,OR DRIVE IT AS YOU RESTORE IT !!!!!!
