Vehicle Detail
1967 Ford Mustang fastback S code 390 GT 4 speed project car that was original Lime Gold with Ivy Gold interior. Car is good solid car with some typical rust in the floors and just a few pin holes in the quarters as seen in the pictures. There does appear to be a little damage repair at some point on the drivers quarter. The car is just how I got it in 2012, all I have done is collect parts for it. Both front aprons still retain the Vin numbers but have been modified on the shock towers and hood hinge area, and has taken a light hit on the right front because battery tray area shows a crease. If you look at the interior pictures there has also been some sort of modification in the kick panel area with some sheetmetal riveted on and the transition pan as seen in the trunk pictures has a few small holes drilled in it. All of the glass is the original and in good shape except the windshield, which I do have a replacement. I am missing the trap door, the GT hood and the latches for the folddown seat are gone. The wiring also appears to be in pretty good shape with no major splicing or cutting. The shortblock is a good rebuildable .040 390 dated 6M12 with C4AE balancer, a set of 14 bolt C7AE-A GT heads dated 6K24/31, a set of headers in good shape with the GT pattern, a C6AE GT intake dated 6L14, and C7OF-A carb dated 762. The carb and heads are supposed to be ready to go but I would certainly go over them. The distributor is a C7OF-H dated 6G28, and the fuel pump is a 4194S dated 7J6A. I have the engine mounts, correct C6 alternator brackets, Z bar and brackets, flywheel, clutch fork, correct 390 STD marked crossmember, driveshaft, and your choice of a set of new repo power by Ford chrome valve covers or a nice set of used originals. The radiator is an aftermarket in like new condition with a correct C6OE-F fan blade with a C7ZE fan clutch, but it does have a few broken fins. The transmission is an RUG-M with a Hurst shifter and a C6OA GT bellhousing dated 6J12. I have a clear Kentucky title in my name. I have done my best to accurately represent the car and parts but still recommend any potential buyer to come and inspect it for themselves. The only reason I am selling is I purchased a 68 1/2 CJ car a little over a year ago or this thing wouldn't be going anywhere. If you need any additional information or pictures please ask. Thanks and God Bless America and our Troops!
