2005 Jeep Liberty CRD Black with grey leather interior, 105,384 miles. Stopped running on me one morning and went to storage (very cheap storage was a de-motivator so it sat a while….) recently towed to a competent dealer in Montgomeryville County, Pa for diagnosis. Vehicle is now in Bergan County NJ. It was not repaired and is in NON-RUNNING condition. I had replaced a part called the “fuel head” which I read on line was prone to suck air. It is the filter mount by the master cylinder but it still would not start. The repair quote is $4600.00 with a possibility of it needing injectors after that, for another $4500.00. The bill with the diagnosis will be included. I liked this truck but just can’t spend the money on it as I don’t plan to keep it anyway. I moved very close to work so am using my Super Duty again. Depending on what the repair was going to be it might have gone to my niece or just sold. My sister is passing on it now so here it is. If no luck it will be junked for $500.00, that where the no reserve bidding starts, or make me an offer. It was a perfectly good running vehicle before it wasn’t, meaning the transmission and transfer case, wipers, lights, everything not listed worked fine. With the street tires that came on it, it was quite spunky and got almost the bragged about MPG people say they get, my commute did not help the figures but it did good. The All Terrains took away from both due to their weight. I’ve always had full size Broncos (with All Terrains) and this thing did just as well in the snow. My eventual plan was to have a set of summer wheel/tires and use the All Terrains in winter. I’m listing all the good and bad that I can remember, please ask questions, look at pictures. Clear NY title in hand, will sign over once funds are cleared. Vehicle is being sold as is, where is. No warranties apply. This is a no reserve auction, it is being listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Standard equipment: Heated leather seats, Sunroof, Power windows/locks, Cruise control, 4-wheel drive, 16” aluminum wheels, rook rack, factory tint, low tire pressure warning, rear defrost/wiper, trip/fuel computer, block heater, fog lights, 2.8 liter 16 valve turbo/intercooled diesel, automatic transmission, two-speed transfer case, 3.73 gear ratio front and back, THE BAD Needs fuel injection distribution pump, this and the timing belt it needs were quoted as a $4600.00 repair.THEN, it could need injectors at around $1100.00 each (four possibly needed).I had rear-ended someone, not bad but bad enough. It was repaired at a very reputable shop who did an excellent job repairing it. ( I was dating someone associated with the shop)HVAC Fan controller needs fixing, works on high only.Need hood strong-arms.A/C needs charge.Battery was new but may be bad now, maybe not, cable was disconnected when stored, dealer did charge it. Wal Mart receipt from 3/16/13, may have warranty adjustment.Tail lights have piece loose in there that was laying against the bulb sometimes burning it out, can be fixed by removing piece.Driver’s seat has some stains and slight tears (see pictures)Interior needs a good cleaning but should come back.Driver side rear wheel has brake dust residue (see picture) that needs to be cleaned and needs the valve replaced for the central monitoring.Two outstanding warranty issues, one for a free trailer hitch. THE GOOD/EXTRAS From Accident; New grill, headlights, fog lights, markers, bumper, trans cooler……. It looks good.BF Goodrich Radial All Terrains with 16k miles on them, Mavis Discount tire receipt included.K&N air filter Aftermarket Kenwood Kdc-2025 removable face head unit, CD player. Can be excluded for a discount.Genuine Jeep “fuel head” filter mount I replaced to try to get running.Always used synthetic oil, spare Mopar oil filter included.Wind blocker on sunroof.Front windows tinted to match factory rear windows.CD/ROM repair manual, but it does not cover diesel. SHIPPINGShipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. I will do what is reasonable to help in any way with transport. For a minimum of $150.00 I will tow it up to 100 miles round trip, including trailer rental.Above a 100 mile trip it would be $1 a mile round trip (only, not on top of the $150 option, and still including trailer) as far as I could deliver it in one day.
