A really nice SL with 212,485 original miles that has always been garaged and regularly serviced by Mercedes Benz. The car is very clean inside and out, runs and drives perfectly and makes an impressive statement! Clean CarFax and clean Title. Never winter driven, and absolutely no rust anywhere. The engine bay and underneath are very clean and straight. The body has no damage and no history of accidents, no water damage or neglect ever. The original paint is in very good condition with a few stone chips around the front facing surfaces. The chips are too small to show up in the photos. The driver's side rubber bumper cover does have a paint scrape (see photo). No damage to the cover, but a paint touch up is needed to be perfect. Looks like someone got a little too close to a garage door. I have not painted or touched up the body in any way, so someone could see exactly what they are buying. The stone chips could be easily brush-touched, if someone wanted. The interior is in great shape and the dashboard is perfect. No cracks or damage to the instrument panel, wood trim or dashboard (see photos). There is a 1" wear spot on the center armrest and a 1" seam tear on the driver's seat (see photos). Both should be repairable by a good upholstery person. The carpets are in great shape with no holes or wear spots. The trunk is very clean and all factory items are complete and in place. The convertible top is in great shape. The top operates smoothly and quietly with no leaks or hesitation. Mechanically, the car runs out perfectly. The engine runs smooth and quiet with no smoke or bad noises at all. In fact, the car is actually running in all of the photos. The transmission shifts crisply and smoothly in all gears. Freshly serviced, this car is ready to go! The brakes are brand new. They were done earlier this fall, before I put the car in storage for the winter. Likewise, the tires are new Falken F-452's on AMG wheels. The little nubs are still on the tires. The AMG wheels do have some finish peeling on the passenger side (see photo). These can be refinished. There is no curb rash or damage to wheels themselves. These R-129 SL's are really nice, dependable sports cars that require minimal upkeep. This one has been very well cared for, and driven regularly. Driven about 14,000 miles per year average. I am a small licensed dealer in Upstate New York.
