This is a 1972 Cb750 K2. It is in real nice original condition. This bike is not restored. I have had this bike for about 6 years but never touched it until this fall. At that time I replaced front and rear wheel bearings, new tires, trued the spokes, new rear brake shoes, front pads, cleaned front brake system, replaced gauge faces, new throttle cables and clutch cable, front and rear sprockets and drive chain, ignition points and condensers, spark plugs, battery. Then I had the carburetors ultrasonically cleaned and reassembled followed by a 3000 mile tune as per Honda specs. The bikes runs and rides very well with no known issues. The tank on the bike is original paint and shows very nicely with very little fading and a few small dents on the left side(shown in the pictures). The side covers are also original and have no broken tabs. The seat is in very nice shape but I believe its from a 1973 Cb750. All electrical works as it should even the turn signal buzzer and cancel button. I replaced one wire from the front brake to the rear light with a red wire which is visible at the front of the tank in the pictures. The exhaust pipes are very solid Hm341's minus #2 pipe, its a Hm300. The engine sounds very tight and pulls hard to redline. No broken fins on the head or jugs and no case damage from a broken chain. The clutch works very good and doesn't slip. This bike can be ridden and enjoyed as is but with a little tlc could be a show bike or a great candidate for a full restore. This is a pretty rare early production K2 with an 11/71 build date and low serial number. From what I was told these bike perform much better than the later production K2 bikes having had the same performance as the earlier K1 model bikes. This is a solid early Cb750 and has no issues to best of my knowledge.
