This is a non-running and mostly original 1983 Suzuki Katana, only the second year of the model, and the final year that one was offered in this style outside Japan. It has a clear Maryland title, This bike is a non-runner, and might be considered a "barn find" in terms of it's current state. It will make an excellent project bike for somebody who has the time, dedication and interest to rebuild it - I have too many projects and no time at all. If the winning bidder does not want to rebuild it - the sum of the parts are probably worth more than the Reserve/Buy It Now price. I have owned this bike since 2007, and done nothing with it except clean it up and buy more parts for it. The photos show most of the details but read below to see the description of all that comes with this bike. Note the 3 "ridges" on the passenger seat.Spare non-original seat included.The bike has non-original laced wheels, with blue anodized rims.Original 1983 wheels/tires included.Toolkit included.Braided brake lines installed.Spare electrics/wiring looms - there are 3 of them that can be used to repair or possible replace all or part of the one installed.Several electronic components included, there are 3 with a main fuse panel.There are 3 battery boxes.Original/appropriate turn signals are included.There are replacement left & right hand controls/throttle.There are 2 addition crank shafts with this.One crank is a Falicon crank, which are usually built as a special welded kit with straight gear teeth and custom high performance "498" con rods. It does need some work...The second crank is more complete, and has "492" con rods. The box that has all the clutch components should also have the parts of a Falicon "billet clutch".There are 3 complete and original exhaust systems for this model, they are the "black chrome" version, and are OK, but rusty, used and scratched.The rear shocks are an afterarket. Additional, replacement sprockets for front & rear are included.There are 3 sets of carburetors. One set is very clean, and was probably rebuilt before I bought it. Cleaning these types of carbs removes the black paint, but they can easily be re-sprayed.Air filter box included.Horn included.Additional mirrors included.Rear mudguard included.The intake manifolds are blocked with paper, and covered with plastic sandwich bags/tie wraps.The fairing, windscreen and side panels are not attached, and will need new screws/bolts. Please note: The Buyer is responsible for picking this bike and all the parts up, or arranging with the Carrier to take all of the parts.
