Thank You for looking at our auction - we are an estate sale company based in Fairfield County, CT, occasionally we get cars from estates & charity auctions, we are always looking for the "good ones" . . . .when we do find them, we post them on eBay . . . . this is a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan / IMS Rampvan / Wheelchair Van that has had only ONE OWNER ! ! . . . .with very low mileage of 97,333 original miles (that's only 6,488 miles per year) if you are in the market you know how expensive these vans are both new and preowned. PLEASE NOTE: THIS VAN WILL NEED SOME WORK BEFORE IT CAN BE PUT INTO SERVICE . . . .the important things all good. . . .engine is fine - transmission is fine - brakes are fine - tires are fine . . . . . when we bought the van last week the 1st thing we did was try the power slider and the electric fold out ramp. the 1st time we tried it the slider was jerky and slow and kept binding. it did finally open and the ramp folded out and retracted fine. . . .the 2nd time we tried it something jammed and the door would not open, it might have come off track, it might be a cable or chain issue, not really sure, so I manually closed it, and didn't try it again, this van will need some repairs . . .as l mentioned we are in the estate sale business and are entering our busiest season, we just don't have time to deal with repairing it. . . SPECIAL NOTE: IN MY OPINION THE TYPE OF WORK THIS VAN NEEDS IS MORE OF A TINKERING AROUND TYPE OF WORK THAN ANY MAJOR MONEY NEEDING TO BE SPENT ON HARD PARTS. EVERYONE KNOWS OF THAT SPECIAL MECHANIC, FRIEND OR UNCLE THAT LOVES TO TAKE ON PROJECT LIKE THIS ONE . . . IT JUST NEEDS SOME TIME AND CARE TO BE TAKEN. it needs some TLC by a patient person. this van is TOTALLY worth investing the TIME and money into. parts and support is readily available for this van. so we have decided to try something different with this auction. we are setting a opening bid of $1850 - no reserve. . . . . if it does NOT sell . . .we will invest the money for the repairs. . . and re-list it (where im SURE it will go for 3x our asking price) . . . . we have had several of these vans over the years, and they do very well on eBay, the last one was has was a 2002 Grand Caravan (with over 100k) but basically the same van and it sold for $6800 . . . it has controls for ramp and kneel are below radio and another switch next to the sliding door (ramp is on passenger side), it a "power retractable"ramp, not a wheelchair lift, and it has an "emergency lever" to retract ramp if power was lost. it has a very low floor (made of stainless steel) making wheeling in and out very easy, there are some assorted wheelchair tie down straps in the back, we have removed the carpet in the back (it was not in good condition) im not sure how to operate everything, not 100% what works, not sure if everything is complete, again I'm not sure how any of this works. but SEEMS to be all there. the odometer works fine the speedometer and tachometer sometimes work and sometimes don't. all the power windows work with exception of passenger window intermittently works. overall the van is in ok condition, door panels, seats and dashboard and fine, there is rust on body, there is large dent on passenger side rear bumper cover, and paint loss as shown, the bottom of the van is stainless steel, the exterior is gold with tan cloth interior, it has ALL lower door and body valances are present . . . .it runs and drives GREAT ! The transmission shifts perfectly . . . . .the engine runs excellent (starts instantly and runs smooth and maintains proper temperature) . . . . . . we had our mechanic check / add all fluids (if needed), wipers, tire pressure, etc. . . . this engine was the best Chrysler ever made it will go 200k + miles . . .the tires are fine with plenty of tread 70%-80% . . . engine compartment is very clean . . its been parked in my garage for a few days or so. . .absolutely no leaks or drips on floor. . . . . it features the 3.3 litre 6-cylinder engine, automatic transmission - a/c (blows cool) - power steering - power brakes - airbag - tilt wheel - am-fm-cd (aftermarket) - power rear side windows - anti-lock brakes . . . .sold NO RESERVE. It has a clear ORIGINAL 2001 Connecticut title and bill of sale . . .this van was donated to the Childrens Hospital of Connecticut and we bought it from them at a charity auction . . .OVERALL this is a great van . . . . . and if you need it and you are handy or KNOW someone handy . . . an amazing find. . . .Thank You!!
