Vehicle Detail

1996 Lincoln Town Car Signature with 8 inch stretch in back doors. This is a great running Town Car that I purchased about 8 years ago as my first car. I owned it for a couple years and it has been used for the last 5 years and (95,000 miles) by a non-profit to transport older folks who have trouble transferring into a smaller vehicle. Here are some details on the car: - 276,000 miles (will continue to go up until the car sells). - Limo Conversion Package (HD brakes, springs, GVW etc.) - Medium Wedgewood Blue paint (fading on trunk) - Gray leather seating for 6 passengers (front seats showing wear). Headliner is starting to sag in areas. - Tires are at around 25% tread and will need replacing within 10K miles or so (full-size spare with matching rim included). - Exterior of the car is in pretty rough shape with some faded paint, rust and the vinyl top is separating in a few areas. front turn signal lenses are missing but lights still functional. Front passenger door is sagging and needs to be lifted as it is closed. LF door window regulator is bad (window won't go down) . - Car starts and runs great in all weather. Has occasional engine code that comes and goes regarding the catalytic converter but has been doing that since I purchased the car initially at 166K. Transmission shifts well. Rear brakes could use service/adjustment but work fine as they are for now. Rear air suspension rides great but seems to occasionally get confused and throws the "check air ride" message. I am 95% certain that the solenoids that let air into and out of the bags are getting sticky. because it works fine 70% of the time (new coil spring kit comes with the car if future owner wanted to replace air springs with coils). - 18 to 21 MPG in city driving and 23-25 MPG on the highway (cruise control servo not working). Car seems to use a little bit of oil between changes (1-2 qts.) but does not smoke or drip. - Overall, this Town Car has been a reliable car that is a pleasure to drive and soaks up the bumps with ease. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car on a road trip or tow a trailer (I added a class 3 receiver hitch and flat-4 trailer light wiring). - Let me know of any specific questions you may have regarding the car and I will do my best to try and answer them. NO RESERVEOnly bid if committed to purchasing this car.
