2005 BMW X3 For Sale. NO RESERVE AUCTION!! Smooth running engine. Great for all weather conditions. Front and back brake rotors and all 4 matching tires replaced less than 1 year ago. Vehicle generally looks good with normal signs of wear and tear. There is a small ding/dent on the front passenger door which you can see in the pictures but not very noticeable. Please Read Before Bidding: The car is selling for well below market value because of the following items that need to be addressed at some point: Per estimate from a local repair shop - Oil leak from engine rear main seal and valve cover gasket. I’ve driven the car about 15 miles each way to work and I top up a quart of oil every 2 weeks or so.I do not see any coolant leaks, however I top up about the same as the oil – a quart every 2 weeks. There does not appear to be any evidence of oil mixing with the coolant on the dip stick.The hood cover needs new struts to hold it open.The Service Engine light is on. This is usually triggered between fuel refills when the gas cap has not clicked fully to close. With everything said above, the vehicle is in very operational condition and I have had no problems with PA Safety or Emissions inspections. It starts up and is ready to take me to work every day. I opted to sell the vehicle rather than trade in or spend $3000 to fix everything per one estimate from an authorized repair shop. The parts are relatively cheap but an estimated 12 hours of labor to replace the parts. The vehicle’s technology is advanced and does give you plenty of warnings when fluids are low so the repairs should not really require immediate attention if you keep an eye on fluids. I have tried my best to fully disclose everything I know about the vehicle because I want an honest sale with a bidder that is happy to buy the vehicle as is. My starting bid price is very low.
