Vehicle Detail
The vin # is PP23G62138824 If you run this through Hagerty's Vin reference or a 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury w/a 383 4bbl. and look at the value of "good" (which I believe she's better than that BUT, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt) you'll see she's rates about $16,000 as she sits. I believe she's easily up between the $16,000 and $24,000 range. I have over $13,000 in the restoration of the car which includes the $4,200 I purchased her for. BUT, I'm a bit biased! I have a folder with every receipt of every part or work I've had done on the car.So, bottom line is----if you're interested in her, make me an offer and we'll go from there. If you call up or email with with some price I feel is, well, we'll say, idiotic, you just won't get a reply. :-) I don't have time to argue or anything. I hate the fact of having to sell her in the first place. What we have here is a 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury. All #'s matching, all original 383 4bbl, 727 Tourqe-Flite 83/4 rear limited slip. When I purchased the car two years ago, I was told it had been garaged for many years. I can't verify the accuracy of the odometer but my mechanic stated she seems to sound quiet and run tight like she doesn't have a lot of miles on her. Car has original "certi-tag" (metal) in slot by radiator and was purchased on 10/22/65 so she's slightly over 50 years old.It was built at the Hamtramck Assembly Plant with originally a Citron Gold Metallic Flake/Z code.Motor pad #'s are B 383= 1966/10/152--built on 10/10/65 and was 2nd motor built. Motor casting #'s are-- 2468130-4/383 MOTOR/1959-1971.The interior #'s show gold vinyl bucket seats w/console and has power windows which do function but not like new. After all, she is almost 50 years old. Interior is 90% restored with just minor detailing needed completed.I've been spending the last two years working on her. A magnet will stick anywhere on the car. As you can see, it currently is a sour apple metallic gold flake green. Body is straight and seams are good. I was told and have pictures that she was previously stripped down to primer, re-primed, sealed and painted.I've completely redone the suspension with new leaf springs and Monroe air shocks on the rear and Monroe shocks on the front. New brakes, new battery w/2 year warranty, new voltage regulator, points, condenser, distributor cap, rotor and ignition coil and a new fuel sending unit. The transmission filter had been changed with new gaskets and fluids added. There's also new 3" Dual exhaust, rear limited slip gear oil using Lucas High Performance products. I've bought a new windshield washer reservoir and hoses for the washer assembly. The pump still works.Pure original Mopar Muscle. The car is sold "as-is" but, as you can see by the pictures, I do drive it currently and there is no smoking out the exhaust (for the pictures of the rear end were taken when she was running).I also have many, extra parts including trim (interior/exterior) and extra window motor original wheels and two sets of original hub caps.Overall, with the cost of purchasing her and what I have in the interior and finding all the missing trim that was not with the car when I bought her, I have over $12,000.If you want other pictures, just email me and ask.Title is free and clear and she is currently driven two to three times a week. She purrs really nice and handles really well.I just want to thank you for reading about "Molly" and if I was not in a position of having to deal with other financial issues, this ad wouldn't be here. Even though I have put her up for sale, I am in no hurry so I will not be "low balled". She's worth every penny I am asking. She's a good car. :-)
