Vehicle Detail

RELISTED WITH A LOWER RESERVE 1923 Ford roadster pickup hot rod. Fiberglass reproduction body with outstanding paint, pinstriping, upholstery, chrome and brass. This is one of four cars that I am selling for a family to settle a West Texas estate. Although the family does not have many details on the history of this car, I am told that it was a high dollar, top quality, Arizona built-hot rod. Very strong runner, low mileage car that starts easily, drives easily and attracts attention anywhere it goes. As the saying goes, when it is stopped, it is a car show; when it is moving, it is a parade. The family that I represent has owned the car since September of 2012. For some reason, the car has a Texas title that lists it as a 1928. I had the car inspected by the Texas Motor Vehicle Depatment. They verified the VIN as the same as had been used in Arizona when the car was assembled. Whether the builder used a title from a 1928 Ford to register the car or the number is a typing error, it is authentic to this car. Due to a recent change in Texas law, the car cannot be registered as a 1923 Ford, only as an "Assembled from Parts" title reflecting the date of the build. Personally, I have no problem with registering the car as a 1928 as long as it is in Texas. If you live in another state, you may find different laws. Please contact me through Ebay if you have questions. Look closely at the pictures and you will appreciate the detail and the use of all the right parts: Corvair steering, 350 engine, 350 automatic, 1958 Oldsmobile rear end, 4-wheel disk brakes, Mickey Thompson tires that are beginning to show wear. Ansen wheels. Bid with confidence, this is a car that will continue to increase in value. Email questions answered promptly. On Nov-11-15 at 09:59:13 PST, seller added the following information: In answer to questions: The roadster does have turn signals that are activated by two black switches on the dash; there is a cassette player (and radio I assume) mounted on the seat frame; there is a parade siren that is activated by a switch on the seat frame; and there is a digital clock mounted on the passenger's side of the dash. Engine is not radical, is cooled by an electric fan; radiator was cleaned and repaired in 2013; VIN is clearly visible on top of the frame on the passenger's side. On Nov-11-15 at 12:32:17 PST, seller added the following information: If you want to hear the engine run, I have a short video to share. Send me your smart phone number or email address. Don: (806) 773-1530On Nov-13-15 at 19:47:13 PST, seller added the following information: To paraphrase an old country-western song, "somebody somewhere out there don't know what he (or she) is missing tonight." The more I am around this T, the more impressed I become. First, the actual odometer reading is 2,860.1 miles. I am inclined to believe that is right. Everything under the car is either painted or chromed (including the driveshaft). All the gauges work, including the speedometer. No radio, cassette player only, works fine. No chrome peeling that I could find. Front wires are very nice. Rear disk brakes are Wilwood. Access to service the master cylinder is through a metal cover to the left of the Mustang shifter. Fuse box is under the seat. Bid with confidence, this is a car that should not be missed. On Nov-13-15 at 19:54:14 PST, seller added the following information: Reviewing the pictures, I see a place on one of the headers that is troublesome. I don't remember seeing a problem or hearing a leak, but it is possible that the area may be leaking I will check on it in the next day or so and report back. Thanks, Don
