Do you want loads of performance and a soon to be classic car ? Look no further than this 2005 Audi S4 Cabriolet.Instead of paying silly money for dealership prices, this will be a bargain for someone. I've had this car since 2009, and it been a great car summer and winter with full time 4WD is woks great even living in rural Vermont. It is inspected, runs great, and just needs some mainly cosmetic work to make this into a very nice car. Loaded with usual S4 Goodies Xenon LightsV8 engineFull leather interior ( Driver seat scuffed a little, but the rear and passenger seats in very good condition light gray with black piping.Navigation unit does not work (probably needs a new wiring loom) there're a couple of vertical lines of dead pixels on the display.I installed an iPhone/iPod interface to replace the CD changer. tis works and also charges an iPhonePower/ memory front seatsHeated seatsElectric soft top ( 26 secs to close)RS4 gear knobElectronic cruise controlElectronically dimming mirrors Engine and TransmissionThis car has the V8 40v engine ( 333bhp) plus I had the exhaust system upgraded to a stainless steel Milltek "cat back" system makes about 10 bhp more , and sounds VERY nice.Current mileage is 167,000 miles - important to note is that at 110,000 miles the engine had a timing chain guide problem. I had the entire engine top end rebuilt including re honing cylinders, at a cost of $10,000. The car now runs very well on an engine with top end component that have only done 57,000 miles since rebuild.The engine doesn't smoke or smell , although in common with many of this type of car, it does use more oil that you'd expect. Manual six speed transmission Engine check light is on - probably due to one of the cats being cleared out after the matrix inside crumbled - it runs fine. The car is pictured with its winter wheels and tires , but the full set of original Avus wheels is also included ( both sets part -worn) There are a number of paint scuff marks and 3 dings where Ive prepped the car for some work ( stripped back to bare metal and sprayed with black epoxy paint -this is to prevent rusting, but a new owner can then decide how to tackle these. The clear coat is peeling in places on the hood. Windshield has a couple of small cracks low down , not in line of sight, and there is an abrasion where an incorrectly mounted windshield wiper has marked the glass. Part of the cover for the convertible mechanism in the trunk is missing ( plastic cover), but soft top operation is as normal. The rear window has been re glued to the soft top - it's functional and watertight , but using gorilla glue it will need re-doing every year or a professional fix will cost around $100. The car has been regularly serviced ( main dealer up to 100,000 miles -it was a certified used car) , and since then by a local Audi specialist. It drives and handles great , there are undoubtedly some bushes/ links etc which will need refreshing as there are some suspension creaks when starting off or stoping. So in all this is a high mileage car than has been used daily in Vermont , it does mean it looks less than pristine , but still a great looking car ( see pics) I recently had all ignition coils replaced and left cylinder bank value cover gasket replaced. Brake pads will need replacing some time soon, and both sets of tires are worn ( but still legal)
