Vehicle Detail

1985 AMC Eagle station wagon (Complete as a daily driver or use for parts) Purchased about a year ago to use as a daily driver, previous owner claimed Runs and Drives but failed to mention the hundreds of mice that were living in it, or the fact it was buried in mud. IT did run and barely drove and has minimal rust, but the smell was “significant” I’ve completely removed everything from the interior with the exception of the door panels. pressure washed the interior, pulled the dash out and hand cleaned everything inside. The smell is mostly gone. You can see from the pictures that there will be some assembly required, but it is mostly complete. The only thing really damaged was the rear seat. I have the frame and cushion, but the cover is gone. The transfer case exploded the first time I drove it. What I’ve done Hours of cleaning Replaced all the vacuum lines under the hood, they were all dry rotted. Replaced the instrument cluster, nothing worked, fuel gauge works now, but I havnt driven it. I don't have the old gauges so I'm not sure what the true mileage is on the car. Replaced the hatch hinges Replaced the fuel lines under the hood Replaced the heater core ( Mounted, but it is not hooked up yet) Replaced the transfer case Coated the interior with spray undercoating. Purchased new carpet (Still in box) Got most of the damage out of the left front fender, but its not perfect Purchased the mounting studs for the roof rack (will be with car) What still needs to be done Car runs pretty good, but when I removed the dash I lost power to the choke, with power connected its starts and runs good, once warmed up it runs fine. I’ve driven it up and down the block with a significant uphill and it seems to drive ok Plastic valve cover is cracked and leaking (55 dollars on ebay) All windows work, but could use servicing. Replace carpet and the rest of the interior Repair/ replace hood and hinges Will need tires The car has a clear Texas title, in my name, ( I hate it when people say they have the title and its not in their name, have two cars I cant do anything with because of that) I have probably over a hundred hours of labor in this car so far, but I just don’t have the time to finish working on it. I’ve come to the realization that its time to cut back on projects. Everything I have for the car will be inside it, like I said its pretty much complete. Some plastic parts of course are broken and the front dash is cracked. This is not a show car by any means, but it could be a great little daily driver for someone that wants to finish putting it back together. This car will need to be trailered. There is still a lot of work left to put her back on the road. Buyer is responsible for shipping and arrangements. Deposit of 200 dollars due within 48 hours by paypal. I can take the final payment by paypal if you want. Will release the car as soon as payment is received. I can mail the title or ship with the car, which ever you prefer. Feel free to message me with any questions or requests for more photos.
