Here is a rare opportunity to acquire a third series Maserati Quattropporte that has been properly cared for its entire life. This car spent most of its life in the Houston area where it was obviously stored inside a garage as there is minimal indication of environmental deterioration. The car is an extremely attractive color combination of dark blue metallic over ivory leather. The paint was recently renewed since the original paint had started to break-down and the leather has been professionally cleaned and re-colored to remove any accumulated discoloration that had occurred over the 30 years of use. The original Campagnolo wheels have been professionally restored along with mounting new tires. Prior to my acquisition of the car, it had been parked for several years un-used. From sitting, the fuel had deteriorated such that we went through every element of the fuel system including: Remove fuel tank, clean and coat inside of tankreplace all fuel hosesreplace fuel pumpsrebuild carburetors We also had the radiator cleaned and replaced all hoses and belts. Of course all other fluids were changed and new filters installed throughout. The car runs and drives great (as it should) and needs only to be used and enjoyed. This is a very proper driver quality car that looks great and does everything it is supposed to do. Please note that it is not a show car and as such, there are imperfections in the paintwork and in other detail items of the car that would need to be addressed should someone be interested in bringing this car up to show car condition. This Ivory Leather Interior is very rare on the Quatroportes but it did become the standard interior on the "Royale" trim level cars that came along in the mid-1980's I have been involved in owning, collecting and restoring Vintage Maserati's since 1985 when these Quattroporte's were still being sold new (and I could not afford one). I am only selling this car because I have since acquired another Quattorporte that is in even better condition than this one.
