Vehicle Detail
1972 CHEVROLET K5 BLAZER- 4 WHEEL DRIVE A true "BARN FIND" "FARM FIND" in and outside a barn, for the last 15 years. Believed to Have started its life, and spent most of its years in Colorado, serving on the Air force base, according to the previous owner. A project that simply ran out of time and money to fund the project. Being sold AS-IS. The Blazer does run, but has not been driven for about (15) years. I will provide as accurate assessment below as I can. The previous owner parked it, when the throttle cable had broken. Had always has aspirations of restoring the Blazer, just never happened. MECHANICAL: * 350 V8 engine, with Muncie 4 speed ( with granny gear) drive train looks original. Engine has dual exhaust via tuned headers, that looks in good order. Included is a NEW 4 core radiator (not installed)-missing shroud. Unit also includes a large capacity fuel tank, likely ordered by the Air force specifically. INTERIOR: * Vehicle has bucket seats and console. one seat is very good original. The other would need new foam insert and covering. Both should be recovered if quality restoration is performed. The console would also need to be reconditioned. The rear seat is also included, and in decent original condition. BODY & SHEET METAL: * The body on this Blazer in very solid. Most of the body panels are very straight. Some small paint bubbles on front lower door skin, and a few on the quarter panel just behind the door. * The quarter panels appear to be solid * The doors are solid, and not rusted out on the bottom. (driver side door hinge has, small amount of play) * The fenders are solid and straight * The rocker panels are solid * The floor pan is solid. * The rear bed interior is solid * The tailgate closes nicely, has a few small dents, not rusted out. * The rear door hatch is missing hardware and shocks...door seals etc. Sellers notes: 1. These blazer's are getting harder and harder to find, in solid original condition ( NOT ALL HACKED UP AND JACKED UP) especially not all rotted out 2.This unit has the harder to find 4 speed transmission...which I clearly prefer over the TH350 car transmission, found in most Blazer's 3. I reserve the right to close the add, for a local sale. 4. I will be more than happy to answer questions, through e-mail or phone 715-492-9901 5. This vehicle is being presented as a solid restoration option, not a turn key road worthy unit, for it has been stored for 15 years..... Thank you!
