Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Great looking Jeep Wrangler for the trail, beach, or just cruising around town enjoying the weather. This Jeep has been upgraded a bit over the last two years, not much of it is original. Starting with the engine, professionally installed remanufactured 4.0 L engine at 208,114 miles. These engines are known to be bullet proof and I wanted to make sure that she would keep going for as long as I had it and for the next new owners. While working on the engine, I added a JBA short header and full Dynamax exhaust for some nice sound. In addition, I had a new radiator installed. Given that the Jeep has over 200,000 miles on it, I went ahead and had the transmission and axles rebuilt so that I knew she would keep on going and not have me stuck on the side of the road. The battery has been replaced in the last few months. You can buy an older Jeep and replace these items as they go or just know that they have been done with proof of receipts. The Jeep has been lifted 4" and sits on 35" Dunlop Mud Rovers with black steel rims. I did not purchase the lift so I am not sure of the manufacturer. I upgraded the shocks to adjustable Rancho RS9000s for a nice ride on and off road- its still a Jeep though. 4.56 gears for the larger tires and I replaced the speedometer gearing with the engine so that the speedo and miles were true. On to the aesthetics of this Jeep, the fun stuff! The following has been added to the Jeep;-Poison Spyder 3" Defender flares have been installed and powdercoated for a durable finish. The fenders were replaced with the vented Poison Spyder fender kit. The side rockers are from Poison Spyder as well and finished with the same powder coating as the flares. Hummer style intake out the the top of the hood. The interior has been completely rhino lined professionally ($800). The inside of the Jeep was rust free prior to the install, but I wanted a durable product that I could just take a hose to after the day. Tuffy Security Console installed to keep all your valuables in the Jeep while you're away from it. Nice black seat covert that fit real well and are easy to clean. KC Daylighters on the window hinges. New side mirrors and relocation set up to take the doors off and still see.The Jeep does come with hard doors and a rear seat that is not pictured. The only top I have is the Bestop bimini top pictured.I added up the majority of the receipts that I could find and it's well over $10,000 along with the cost of the Jeep. The bad/things that I never got around to. The Jeep is in nice condition for a 17 year old vehicle with a lot of improvements. However, there are items that are not perfect that should be noted. Speakers in the Jeep do not work, they seem to be blown. The A/C does not blow at all, I'm not sure if its the compressor or a fuse, but the Jeep did come from the factory with air. As this was my weekend project, I never felt the need for the air conditioning and the above was more of a priority to me. There are the usual scratches and dents that come from being 17 years old with original paint. The paint is not show quality, but I like the way it looks and who wants to worry about scratching a Jeep.
