Vehicle Detail
If you are a Valkyrie devotee like me, you'll like this one. A 1997 model I bought from the owner's widow, it had 7,000 miles on it in 2013. I put 15,000 miles on it the past two years. It's in near showroom condition, it's always garaged. I always have dealer service at the correct intervals. I've owned three of these (all 1997's I think) but it's time to move on, they're getting too heavy for me. I put quite a few farkles on it the past couple years. Here's a list: -Best of all, I put a brand new Valkyrie Interstate gas tank on it. Now it has nearly 7 gallons of gas (6.9) instead of 5.2 gallons. It will do 200 miles on a tank of gas under normal riding conditions. This was a big investment, but worth it for the peace of mind. The tank fits exactly like the stock tank, it's just a little taller to hold almost 2 more gallons. -A Powerlet plug on the handlebar, you will get three plug-ins with it: Gerbings, battery monitor, and a cigarette lighter receptacle. -Clock and ambient temperature gauge on the handlebar. -Kuryakin highway pegs. -Quality rider backrest. -Hondaline passenger backrest and tail rack. -Hondaline 3 pipe exhaust tips; makes a nice throaty sound, not loud. -Chrome saddlebag guards. -Air horns (compressor is inside the right side cover). -Touring windscreen. -Vista Cruise throttle lock. The front tire has about 40-50% life and the rear tire is brand new. Both are Dunlop Elite 3's. New front brake pads 4,000 miles ago, rear brakes are 70%.
