1973 AMC Javelin/AMX “Roller” Straight, Replace Your Rusted Body I purchased this Javelin form the original owner in Colorado, the Colorado title shows zero miles. He owned it for ~12ish years and decided to re-do her, so he took her apart, as you can see he did some sheet metal repairs and started a couple others. He removed the Auto Trans and sourced a manual Trans, installed the clutch pedals, cut a hole in the floor and lost interest. Fast forward another ~10 years, I came across her and purchase her for the body (some of the parts were missing already. I stuck her in a shipping container, life happened, got married, kids….moved back to Texas and forgot about her. I recently got a call from where she was stored, and that I was losing my storage as the place had been sold, so they sent the body down to Dallas Texas and here she sits now. She is now for sale, and been protected from the elements for many years, she will make a great replacement body for some of those rusted out pieces of crap I see for sale often. Or perhaps a drag car, that would be cool. Look at all the photos as they are the description. The body is straight, floors are solid, I even have the keys to the ignition AND trunk! All the Glass is good (small 2 inch crack inside windshield passenger side up in the tint area. I just saw this when cleaning the windshield. The hood has a hole cut in it by the original owner, just 2 weeks after he bought the car new. He said it was the worst beating he ever got from his father. Been there J anyway, if you done need a hood with a hole in it, I’ll refund $150 of the final price if I can keep the hood. Just let me know. There is a manual transmission in the trunk the original owner was going to install, Bell Housing, Flywheel, Fork, Zbar, Clutch, Cross Member. The shift rods are still wrapped, I have no idea of the ratios etc. but it goes with the car. The Black Dash is good, it has a set of gauges, and glove box is good, Non AC car. Missing interior (most). Under the hood, she originally had a 304, but you can install anything from your Donor. Look at the pics, I am amazed how clean it is in the engine bay. I’ll install a steering box so you can move her around. The wheels go with the car, the front tires leak down slowly, all are “aged”. The rear-end looks good, standard AMC 20 I believe. I will assist in loading on your carrier/trailer. I can store for you for up to 4 weeks with full payment. She will be sold with bill of sale.
