Very nice 540i with M package. This is my daily driver. Has typical wear for this age & mileage. The bad stuff: One bad stone chip on the hood and one crack on the rear bumper, both in the photos. The trim around the front and rear windshields on all of these cars cracks and needs to be replaced. I have the replacement trim, looks like a whole day project, I'd let the safelite do it... The timing chain cover gasket leaks a little, about a tablespoon on my garage floor every week. I'd drive it another 30,000 miles and replace the timing chain at the same time. The sunshade for the rear windshield doesn't work, (this is my second 2003 540i, the last one I bought new and drove for 8 years, this didn't work in that one either even while it was under warranty). The good stuff; the car drives great. I try to keep up with everything, my local non-dealer service is top notch, I just had the a/c and all fluid services done. I will include all service records from the time I've owned it. Two new run flats in the front. Rear tires new as of last summer. I drive approximately only 2,000 miles a year and it has not been driven or parked outside in the winter - at all. Undercarriage and body are very clean and rust free. I've been driving a company car since July and I have had a hard time bringing myself to sell this car. No warranty of any type. If you want an E39, this is the last year they were made and a nice example.
