Available is this very solid '62 Willys M170 Jeep Ambulance. I bought it a year ago from a local car buff with hopes of restoring her, but I don't think it's going to ever happen, I'm more of an early Bronco guy. I'm offering her for someone looking for a worthwhile restoration project. What's cool is that there is a registry for these rare ambulances. Google it! The US Govt commissioned Willys to supply them with 6000 of these M170's between 1953-1963. Only 4155 were manufactured. It's all there for the most part and very solid. Most of the original military marking are still legible. It still has the original 16" steelies with military tires, the gauges are all there and the dash placards are still intact. Since it is an ambulance it still has the dash mounted stretcher mount. I have an 8' military whip antennae that goes with it. As you can see in one of the pictures I have all three of the correct seats with good frames for this vehicle (rare). The generator and starter are not mounted, but it looks like everything else is there. The gas tank, gas cap, and mounting brackets are all there, but there are small hole in the tank. If it's not in the pictures assume I don't have it. The spare mounts vertically in the passenger floor. The cowl mounted battery boxes are in very good condition. Someone cut part of the tub on the driver's door opening, but I have an extra piece from another Jeep to graft on. She is amazingly solid, there are no major rust issues. All body panels are original. She rolls freely, the engine turns over but needs sorting before it's to be started. The transmission gear shifter is stuck, I have not investigated but another complete transmission, t'case, and drive shaft is included (see picture). The Jeep is sold as is where is with no warranty.
