As an ardent muscle car admirer, I acquired my Fairlane on November 21, 2008 at the Moultrie (GA) Automotive Swap Meet and Car Corral. The previous owner had just completed a total restoration (body on) of the car including new exterior paint. In addition, he replaced the engine with a 1971 Ford Bronco 302 c.i. Hot rod enthusiasts will definitely appreciate the cool sound of the Flow Master muffler system! The car has the original blue vinyl seats, which are in excellent condition. The original radio is still in the car, but was disconnected by the prior owner; he installed an AM/FM radio and CD player in the glove compartment. At the time of purchase, the car had 59,234 miles; it now has 62,876 miles, and has been garaged since I purchased it. Within a year following the purchase, I changed jobs, and moved from central Georgia to Brooklyn, NY. Needless to say, I did not have the heart to expose this beauty to New York winters (and drivers). As a result, I rented a garage in Eatonton, GA, and have enjoyed driving it a couple times a year when visiting my parents in Greensboro, GA. I have since gotten married, and we are expecting a new baby. You guessed it! The time has come when I recognize that it just does not make sense for me to carry the monthly storage costs despite the driving pleasure this car has given me. Since owning the car, I have installed new custom carpet and mats, and purchased four new tires. Additionally, I have added new valve covers, and a new concours hi-po air cleaner assembly. I have faithfully had the car serviced (oil changes) at David Yearwood's Auto Repair in Greensboro, GA. Marti Report is available. Additional photos available upon request.
