Car originally came with 5 year warranty. Car has never been winter driven and is always garaged. The car has always been maintained and never abused. Only REDLINE synthetic lubricants have been used in the engine, transmission and rear end. Body: The car had repaint work due to a fender bender prior to me purchasing it in 1989. Since then, it has only been touched up. Recently the car was professionally sanded and polished . Despite the age of the paint, there is no rust on the car. The bottoms of the door panels are clean and rust free. There is no flaking or peeling of the paint.The car gets attention any time I take it out. Interior: The interior is very good. The driver's seat was reupholstered with factory original material. There are no rips or tears in the upholstery, no sagging headliner. The Ttops do not leak, but there is wind noise at high speed. The door rubbers could use replacement (available on Ebay). The trim ring on the steering wheel has some cracks but a replacement is included with the car. The rear view mirror has the built in illumination. All gauges are functional including added the electric fuel pressure, engine temp, onboard scanmaster and boost/vacuum gauges. Auto climate control is a great feature and functions perfectly converted to 134A freon. The factory concert sound radio was discreetly modified to accommodate an MP3 player. Engine: Prior to introducing performance enhancements, the stock engine was rebuilt 18K miles ago based on the GN engine rebuild spec from the Buick Club of America with new GM parts including pistons, rings, cam, bearings, timing chain, lifters, all seals including upgraded neoprene crankshaft seals. The heads were ported and polished with new valves. The engine was rebuilt by a leading speed shop engine builder and bored 10thou and was balanced. Other engine enhancements include 42lb green stripe injectors, heated 02 sensor, adjustable fuel regulator, Hi-volume fuel pump, Red Armstrong Turbo volt booster, large capacity fuel pump wiring kit. The turbo and intercooler are stock.A custom chip based on the engine configuration was programmed by Turbo Tweak. The program for this chip can be modified while in the car. The engine makes good power as is, but is ready for additional upgrades of so desired. The motor does not leak or burn any oil or coolant. Transmission: At the time the engine was rebuilt the trans was also rebuilt using ART CARR durability components to handle increased power. The shift points were not changed, but the shifts are firmer than stock. A new D5 converter was installed at the time. There is a very slight leak from the pan gasket on the tranny which I never dealt with as I contemplated installing a higher stall speed converter. Drivetrain and Suspension: Front suspension, shocks and springs were replaced at the same time the engine was rebuild (18K ago)--all with GM, AC Delco or Moog parts--No offshore. GNX style wheels have the correct offset and feature GN center caps. Tires are Firestone Firehawk with plenty of trend. The combination of rims and low profile tires makes the car sit about 1 inch lower with a nice wide stance. The cat back exhaust is a Borla Stainless system. The exhaust sound is real sweet.
