ok this van has sat for a year, starts right up. i drive it easily around my neighborhood, shifts fine, starts easily and runs great. stops on a dime. but i havent had it on the highway so unless your local i would suggest you tow it, because it has been sitting for a year. this is my custom van built in 1978 by zimmer motor corp (the car manufacturer that brought you the golden spirit). as a custom chevy van direct from the factory in 1978 and i have the original sles reciept, the van was $4972 and the zimmer van conversion was 5,072. which means the damn customization was more than the damn van! ive had this van for two years and drove it all over the place up and down the east coast mostly then it developed a knock. So.....i did all this to it a year ago almost to the day.-rebuilt 305 small block chevy motor with custom mods to make it have some more torque (still drives like a van)-rpm performer intake manifold-new holley 600 carb-switched it to hei with new distributor and everything new-new chrome high output alternator-new water pump-new fuel pump-new hooker headers and patriot side pipe exhaust, i even put heat wrap on the plugs.-flip down dvd hooked to the flip out 7" touch screen in the dash with reverse camera and new dash speakers (8 track in the roof still hooked up and plays has its own speakers that still are hooked up) , new dash speakers and i even made an aux port with usb and an extension so you can sit outside and control the music with your phone while camping.-new radiator dual electric fans and custom aluminum shroud-ac was pulled apart and serviced and still blows cool but could use a recharge-interior has sink (untested) and icebox with a burl wood closet that matches the table, table area turns into bed area, has old gold shag all inside and a black diamond pleat dash with two seats in the middle.-has roof rack and roof venturi vent that says "zimmer"-photo of the blue van ad shows the layout of my interior as it originaly was just my interior was gold and tan, but has the same roof mount cb radio (untested) and 8 track player, and seating area.-temp gauge is broken, put a new sender in and it still doesnt workliterally the day i put the motor in i drove it up to Tennessee for the weekend at muddy roots music festival and camped in it and drove it home with expired tags and parked it. i tagged a different van and this van sat for a year. THE VAN COMES WITH THE WAGON WHEELS ONLY I HAD THE TURBINES FOR SALE LOCALLY AND THEY SOLD. THE CHROME WAGON WHEELS COME WITH THE VAN NOT THE TURBINES. THE VISOR BROKE AS WAS REMOVED AS WELL.
