Nice Jetta in need of some work.This car runs well and was my kids college transport for a few years. We all know that Jettas are indestructible , right ? well this one despite the age has very little rust, and is basically sound.It was off the road for a year and I decided to make some repairs to get it back on the road. I don't have the time , which is why I'm selling it. It has a number of problems that anyone with moderate mechanic skills could put right easily. Both Rear brakes ( Complete caliper and caliper bracket assemblies have been replaced with reconditioned parts , however brake fluid leaks from where the banjo bolts attach to the calipers. This is probably due to an incomplete seal where copper washers seat - anyway now I'm bored with it , and don't have the time to investigate furtherThe e-brake cable is not attached on one sideIt needs a new battery - it starts first time with a jump start ,and the alternator is workingThe glove box lid is missingThe A/C isn't working - could just need pressurizing.There is a small crack or two on the lower right part of the windshield ( not in line of sight)There are numerous dents and dings on the body workThe external hood opener has broken off - so until replaced the center radiator cover can be removed with 2 screws to allow access to the catchABS Light on Would be great for someone who wants a project for someone with mechanic skills or garage owner. - Could be a nice car with a little work.Could be brought back to a very good spec with a little mechanical skill or a few $ invested. Alternatively , it could be good for parts , the engine/ drive train runs very well, This would make a great cheap vehicle for the right person. Absolutely no warranty expressed or implied, this is an old high mileage vehicle in fair to poor condition, with all the faults described above.
