I bought this low milage 1988 Rolls Royce for my wife for Christmas from a dealer in Las Vegas Nevada in 2009 and drove it cross country to our home in Tennessee. The car drove and rode wonderfully, especially for a car of its age. My wife used it as a daily driver to her job as an elementary school teacher until her retirement two years ago. It has not been regularly driven since except for short and infrequent trips to keep it operational. For most of that time it has been garage kept but not exclusively. The only repairs, other than standard maintenance, we have had to do is to buy new tires and drive shaft bushings. It has some "issues" but all minor, among which are that the driver's side window does not come up easily/automatically as it should (off track?), and is scratched/etched; the power seats are not currently working, the trunk lid lock has been modified so it can be opened more easily (it used to stick shut locked), it is missing one original Rolls Royce wheel cover (went rolling down Interstate 75). We put sports style wheel covers on the front wheels and kept the Rolls Royce covers on the rear ones. The lacquer on the window sills has been removed and they have been oiled with teak oil. The radio antenna is broken and the car can sometimes smell a bit musty if left to sit for long periods without use. On the positive side, it is a fully operational low milage vintage Rolls Royce which could still be used as a daily driver or fully restored for the interested collector. The leather seats and interior are in good condition. The body is also in good but not perfect condition as is the original paint (the silver paint is somewhat dull compared to the blue lacquer sides) and the car is still a head turner and drives well. I am not a dealer and do not really know how best to present this car for sale but want to be as openly honest about it as I can. It is not perfect but it is a perfectly drivable "high class" luxury automobile like no other. We are offering it as a no-reserve low starting bid auction to be sold as is where is. Local pick up or shipping is to be arranged by the buyer. The car is also currently for sale locally and may be withdrawn from the auction if sold locally. A $500 non refundable deposit is due at the close of the auction with the balance to be paid upon taking possession. Please see the pictures and ask any questions you might have.
