I am selling my uncles 1971 Volkswagen super beetle convertible.This car was restored 10 yrs ago.Car was red from the factory .We had it paint 2005 VW cream yellow.Car was restored when it had 48k miles.Car has 54k miles and we are pretty sure its original miles but in the state of South Carolina if its over 10 yrs old they make you mark the title EXEMPT.In 2005 when the car was painted we replace the floor pans and had new ones put in it and had it undercoated so it would not rust again which is a problem in beetles.This car is 95% rust free .It has a tiny rust bubble under the paint on the bottom of the drive and passager door.The rust bubble is the size of you finger nail and it has been there for a few yrs not worth fixing !.This car has new tires and new starter and tie rod ends and brakes.This car also has had power windows added to it and the driver window has stopped working.The driver window will still go up and down you just have to manually do it.When the car was painted the passanger door came out a shade off and when its really sunny you can not tell but when its cloudy you can see it.This car runs and driver like it should .Engine runs great no smoking or ticking.The only oil this car leaks is out of the drain plug.A new crush gasket on the plug will fix this the next time you get a oil change.It may leak a drop the size of a quarter if left in the same spot for weeks.Car comes with all keys and has new gas tank and clutch cable.This car has a kenwood cd player and 4 kicker speakers.This car is from Charleston SC that's why it has very little rust.Let me be clear this is a very nice car and it turns heads everywhere it goes.Everyone thinks its a $25k show car but I am a car guy and this not a show car but a very nice driver car to take to cars and coffee or local car shows.
