Vehicle Detail
Tired of dealing with rust??? Own a piece of quattro history - the first all aluminum production car. Timeless looks, highest quality materials when made, looking for a new home where she will be properly restored back to her glory. These are one of the most under appreciated cars right now in the market, so its a steal to get into one.I bought this car in 2005 with 45k miles on it. It was a single owner who liked it so much he bought it from its lease. Brilliant Black, Platinum interior comfort seats, Automatic/Tiptronic, hot weather package, cold weather package, solar sunroof, Sport package, Xenon lights (glass headlights). I have meticulously maintained it since I bought it, but over the years its showing its age at 198k miles. Avus 18in S8 clone wheels, chromed mirrors, euro pre-facelift S8 badge on painted orginal grille. I recently updated the exhaust when one of my cats went bad - I installed straight pipes, h-pipe to x-pipe, middle muffler delete. Body is real clean, paint is great, except with some hazing of the clear coat on the hood and roof - Im eventually going to wet sand and get back to nice sheen.-Control Arms Replaced-All shocks and springs original - never showed signs of being shot. -Timing belt, valve cover gasket, water pump, belts, spark plugs etc all replaced at ~170k miles (2nd belt job)-All maintenance history documented - email me specific questions-fuel pump replaced-brakes all replaced and work fine.On Sep-27-15 at 14:36:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Tired of dealing with rust??? There was a typo upon the mileage when I entered it. Actual mileage is 190,667 as of today, not 198k as described. Also, I have reduced the reserve to a number very close to the current bid! I have an extra ABS module, Airbag control module, Transmission Control Module, and miscellaneous parts that will come with the car. This week I replaced all the ignition coils and the cam shaft sensor ($250 in parts). This coming week I will have the leak in the cooling system replaced - oil cooler pipe (plastic) being replaced with the aluminum. I will also have my mechanic look the car over again for obvious items. Must make room for my new project and really didn't want to part this car out, so Im happy its being bid on! There was a question on the CarFax. I can email the carafe to anyone that needs it. In 2010, there was an incident where a person behind me at a red light put his foot on the gas and hit my bumper. I replaced my trunk, bumper, and the rear aluminum cross member under the trunk lid. No other body damage in the rear. The work was done at an AoA certified Aluminum Repair Facility in Pompano Beach where the dealer has their cars worked on. The rest of the car and paint are original. No real door dings anywhere on the car.
