96 RMW 72k DGGM Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon in Jadestone Metallic with 72k two owner miles. Collectors Edition like every other 96 Buick Roadmaster. Car has a salvage title due to that very small dent on the left rear quarterpanel as seen in the pictures - since body parts are not available new. However, after I bought from the insurance company, the car (on one its few nights not garaged) experienced a hail storm, so now there are some hail dents. Boasting GMs Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Tow package 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9 & G80 build codes). Trailer preparation "tow package" means the factory rated the car to pull 5000 lbs but has no hitch (despite trailer prep name, these did not come from the factory with hitches so all hitches are aftermarket.) Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Runs and drives great - drive anywhere. I do have the history report for this car, and I also have photos of it from the insurance company verifying condition that caused its salvage title. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Newer battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is exceptionally straight and solid. Dead straight down the sides except for the small spot in the left quarterpanel. NO rust. Several small hail dings on top surfaces which are small and difficult to photograph but I took several pics where some can be seen. Paint: Paint is very nice for age and all original. Above average for age. Wood: Upper wood trim is original and in good shape with minimal peel. The side panel fake wood is in great shape (still shiny, not faded). Other: Lower stainless bright trim is very nice with two small notable dings on left rear quarterpanel. Rubber side trim is all there. Windshield and all other glass are good with no chips, cracks or scratches. Undercarriage is extremely solid with only very minor surface rust - see the pics. Underhood sheet metal and tailgate sill have only a couple surface rust spots. Door jambs are flawless. Plastic center caps have some cracks. Aluminum wheels are in fantastic shape with no pitting or staining. NOTE - I do have a replacement for the broken Roadmaster emblem on left quarter. And the hood ornament was missing when I got it, but I have both the 91-95 style or a 96 Collectors Edition. Take your pick and Ill include with car. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is beautiful. The only complaint is a small scratch on the right front seat. Dash has no cracks and is still shiny. Leather seating areas are in great shape, leather is still soft. Carpet in seating area is very nice, cargo deck carpet in good shape. Headliner is nice - not sagging - no tears. Steering wheel is in nice shape. No smoke or pet odors. Exceptionally nice interior overall. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) ALL power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C with new a/c compressor, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, power antenna, keyless entry, rear window release, rear wiper, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out very nicely as youd expect of very low miles. Steering is tight, alignment is dead on, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with good linings all around. Tires have about 90% tread remaining on a matched set of whitewall radials (whitewalls are turned in). Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - drive anywhere. Short version terms: Small non-refundable deposit as listed (but fast) by Paypal within 24 hours.
