93 Cap PPM Up for bid is a 1993 Chevy Caprice wagon with 162k two owner miles. Exceptionally rare purple pearl metallic with wood and grey interior. Clean history report. Solid body, nice interior. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Good battery & charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is very good shape. Solid but has a couple rust bubbles starting low on left quarter as pictured and some rust (about a 1" hole) in front of the left rear wheel in the wheel well (not pictured - cant get camera in there.) Remarkably straight body - barely a door ding. Paint: Paint is very nice for age and all original except a couple touch up spots. Has one long scratch on top of right front fender and a chip low on front bumper as pictured. Otherwise, very nice with no major blemishes. Wood: Upper wood trim is peeling in spots. The side panel fake wood is in good shape with a few small chips/nicks/cracks as pictured. There is some cracking in the vinyl "wood" on left rear quarter you can see in pics but you have to look for it. Some fading beneath taillights. Other: Lower fake chrome plastic is peeling like most of these do. Windshield and all other glass are good with no chips, cracks or scratches. Undercarriage is solid but some surface scale typical of the Maryland car it is - see the pics. Underhood sheet metal and tailgate sill have no rust as seen in pics. Hubcaps are in good shape with a few curb rashes. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in very nice shape. Dash has cracks cracks but all else in exceptionally nice shape. Cloth seating areas are in great shape, carpet in seating area is very nice, cargo deck carpet in good shape. Headliner is nice with no sagging. Steering wheel is in nice shape. No smoke or pet odors. Very nice interior overall. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) ALL power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, power antenna, rear wiper, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out very nicely. Steering is tight, alignment is good, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with good linings. Tires have about 70% tread remaining on a matched set of whitewall radials. Solid exhaust pipes with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.)
