THE 2.0L-L4 ENGINE STARTS EASILY AND RUNS SMOOTH. THE ENGINE HAS GOOD POWER AND ACCELERATION. THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY THROUGH THE GEARS AND THIS CAR HAS NICE RIDE.
THIS VOLKSWAGEN HAS A CURRENT VA STATE INSPECTION (EXPIRES 9/15), BUT WILL NOT PASS AGAIN DUE TO THE FOLLOWING: IT NEEDS A NEW RIGHT-HAND LICENSE PLATE BULB, IT NEEDS BOTH INNER TIE RODS, AND THE RIGHT-FRONT WHEEL'S REAR CONTROL ARM BUSHING IS RIPPED AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. ALL THE ELECTRONIC FEATURES WORK ON THIS VOLKSWAGEN. THE VW AM/FM/CD AUDIO SYSTEM SOUNDS GOOD.
INSIDE, THIS JETTA GLS LOOKS GOOD OVERALL. THE CLOTH SEATS LOOK GOOD AS DOES THE DASH, CENTER CONSOLE AND CARPET. THE HEADLINER IS LOOSE IN THE REAR AREA OF THE CAR. THREE OF THE DOOR PANELS LOOK GOOD, BUT THE DRIVER'S DOOR PANEL FABRIC IS LOOSE (SEE PIC BELOW). THE GLOVEBOX HANDLE IS BROKEN OFF. OTHERWISE, THE INTERIOR IS NICE.
