Up for sale is my 86 Mustang GT with T-Tops. The car is a solid rust free very well maintained low miles survivor. It just past 72,000 miles. The interior is in very good condition. The seats all look like they have never been used. The carpet does show some signs of wear and light fading a couple of stains but overall in good shape. The dash pad has one very, very small, tiny crack that does not hardly show. And there is also some discoloration, sun fading. The plastic side panels in the back has some scuffs and or scracthes from past owners hauling items in the hatch area. The car is mostly all original/stock. The only modifications are welded in subframe connectors, which is basically as must do on foxbodies, especially with T-Tops. Flowmaster exhaust system. Pony wheels with new tires. Driveshaft safety loop. Modern stereo and speakers. Rear gears changed to 3.55. The car runs great. Everything on the car works great. Just like they all should. The A/C blows nice cold air. The car is very dependable, always starts right up and runs great. The paint is original and still shows well with just a few minor issues here and there which could only be expected and or would be normal for 29 year old original factory paint. I have too many projects and too much going on in my life right now so it is time for this great car to become someone elses pride and joy. I have tried to think of everything I could to tell you about the car but I am sure there are still unanswered questions so ask away, I will do my best to answer every question quickly and very honestly. Please note that this car is being sold "AS IS", "Where is", and is also for sale locally so I resever the right to end acution early. Also, I do have some extra parts and or items that will be included with the car.On Aug-27-15 at 21:19:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to add some more info about the car so that everyone has as much info as I possibly can get out there. I added a couple more pictures, one is the small crack in the front curve of dash and also trying to show the discoloration. It appears to me that a previous owner had a dash cover or something on the dash probably trying to protect the dash and instead did more harm then good. The discoloration follows a perfect outline of whatever was on the dash. I also wanted to show the scuffs and scratches on the trim panels that someone caused with either unsecured and or non protected loads. I also wanted tried to show door and rocker panels and undercarriage. There is no rot or rust. This car is solid as a rock. Never been in a accident. It has cosmetic flaws only. And that would depend on your level of perfection and or if you have any OCD's about perfection. I have taken the car to many shows etc with nothing but positive comments. I get plenty of complements all the time, everyday, and everywhere I go. OK, last but not least, some more info about mods and parts. The engine is stock and all original, including the smog pump and H-Pipe with dual cats. So if you live somewhere like me and still have to have it inspected and or smog checked there would be no problems with that. It has had plugs, wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter, belts, fan and fan clutch, and radiator all replaced at about 53,000 miles. The transmission was rebuilt and a Fiore adjustable clutch quadrant installed. It has Koni red adjustable shocks and struts. Rear end was rebuilt. All the brakes and all the brake parts were replaced at about 30,000 miles ago. As stated before this car runs great, very reliable and dependable. I drive it everyday. I would drive this car any where without hesitation. About some of the extra parts I have are, a complete brand new set of weatherstripping, about $400 worth. I have the hood decal. I have the side mouldings. Didn't know if I should go ahead and put these items on or if you the new owner would like to wait and do that??? I have a footrest pedal. Headlight covers. So if you would like to plan a trip here to pick up the car, I would be glad to pick you up at the Asheville Regional airport if you chose to fly in or if you want to rent a car one way to here then I will be glad to help you get the rental car turned in and then you can drive the Mustang back to your home. You could make a little getaway out of the deal and take in some of the sites and attractions in the area.
