Vehicle Detail

Incredibile Barn Find - UnMolested 1981 Z-28 T-Top and 4-Speed Car - Just relisted, and lowered the price - Offered with no reserve. I got a new job, so I have to let my toy go. I've been all over this car, sourced the missing parts, nd gotten to the basics on this diamond in the rough. It is all there, needing some repairs to put it back to factory excellence. Factory orange on orange Z-28. Have all the VIN and Protecto Plate decodes. Original Motor, stock intake, correct carburetor, 4-Speed original transmission, Bell housing/Z-bar, and Rear-End are all numbers matching and period correct originals (I believe). The factory heavy duty front/rear sway bar and mounts are still in place. Speedometer is showing 8500 miles, so assuming 108,000 miles. Pulled the motor apart to check the internals (see pics), and the engine wear surprisingly appears minimal. Car comes with complete gasket set so you can take the motor completely apart, or put it back together to run it as is. New water pump, hoses, etc. As far as the body, There is rust around the rear window (not bad), around the t-top lip, rear valance above gas tank, and minor rust at the driver/passenger floor board, and in the center of the rear passenger feet section. Guessing the repair panels would be 8"-12" square in all 4 locations. Most of the moldings, interior components, and hard-to-find little parts are there, including the factory honeycomb z-28 wheels and most of the sought after center-caps and lug nuts for this year/model. The original door skins were pretty rusted, so I got another pair of original Z-28 doors with all the parts to replace them with. Car needs some attention to details as the previous owner was a little zealous with the black spray paint, and had made some home-repairs on some of the factory wiring harness segments. Underneath as to be expected, there is light surface rust on frame and undercarriage. Included with the car are lots of new parts, and a lot of spares including and a pair of z-28 replacement doors with all the parts/electric locks. Have Florida title in hand. so text or email with your questions. This has the potential to be an incredible restoration.
