Very clean, One owner, clear title, always been a Charlotte North Carolina car; - no rust, adult driven, silver color, 5 speed manual transmission, 2.4L 5 cylinder engine (NOT turbo), SRS safety airbag system, grey leather seats, power tilt/sliding sunroof, electric adj. front driver seat, grey Volvo floor carpets, traction control, ABS brake system. Daily driven. All electronics and mechanics works as they did the first day of ownership, drives smooth like a luxury sedan should, steers straight, no strange noises or vibrations, fuel efficient city and highway driving. Safe, nice city and highway car. Want to sell because we bought a bigger SUV. Maintained well - synthetic oil changed frequently, spark plugs changed recently, recently Volvo services incl. air conditioner compressor shimmed, replaced front strut bearings, replaced front control arms, Never left us stranded, never broken down, had no issues to date with any state inspections. This had been a reliable car, over the 10 years life of ownership we had the following part replacements done: software upgrade(s), brake pads, helper spring on clutch pedal, window wipers, PCV valve, MAF sensor and a light bulb. Have record of the services performed. Michelin tires good condition. Tires has between 8/32 and 6/32 thread left, that is about 30,000 or more miles left before replacement is recommended. All bodywork and glass clear and straight. Glass and Paint is in excellent condition, no scratches or visible dents. We had the bottom of the left rear passenger door once repainted, this was several years ago (05/2006) - due to a paint scratch from a jeep tire that bounced off that vehicle, there was no vehicle-to-vehicle impact but shows on the vehicle history report as an minor accident. Only cosmetic issue is that recently the headliner started sagging, mostly above the rear passenger area. Buyer can self glue it back if you're handy at DIY projects, or have it replaced. Occasionally the rear fog light bulb warning comes on, but cant find that there is a defective bulb. This bulb warning light comes and goes intermitted, it may be off for several days then it may flicker on/off and appears to be a common gremlin with the S40 light wire connector. I have only one ignition key, I dropped the other one and the inside circuit board broke. So I have 1 1/2 key. Buyer can order duplicate at Volvo if two are needed. No trades, no low offers, only test drive by serious buyer with insurance and have cash to buy the car, If buyer want pre-purchase inspection buyer have to pay for it. I do not finance. Cash or bank certified check must clear with bank first. Car sold as is, no warranty expressed or otherwise, no returns accepted. I appreciate your interest in this car.
