1966 Chevy II SS ORIGINAL 11837 VIN (Shared only by original V8 equipped cars)Red Interior / White Exterior For sale is an absolutely beautiful 1966 Chevy II SS original 327. This car is an older rotisserie restoration of the entire car. The undercarriage is nearly as clean as the day it was purchased. The body is as straight as an arrow with no rust, repaired or replaced sheet metal. All of the glass and rubber is original as far as I can tell. The interior of the car, with the exception of the floor mats has been replaced with original vinyl, carpet, or polyester material. This includes the headliner, door panels, carpet, and seat. The seats are not slip-on covers but rather completely replaced upholstery. The only addition to the interior are the additional gauges mounted below the dash (better monitoring than OEM) Highlights of the car- 327 motor vin was machined off during engine work- 327 has ~ 150 miles since complete rebuild. All wearing parts were replaced: Oil pump, all bearings and seals, cam and lifters, all rocker arms, water pump, etc- Cam is a Competition Cam roller/rocker setup for long life and adaptability to new lubricants- Lifters are Competition Cam roller/rocker- Carburetor is the original Holley 4bbl, completely restored last summer- Brakes were updated to power front discs for safety and reliability- Transmission was updated to a TH200R4 as was the indicator in the floor shifter. I have the original Powerglide and all components. If you want it with the car you pay additional shipping and I will include for free.- The car is currently equipped with ceramic coated headers Sanderson headers. Nothing on the car was modified for this installation (no cut sheet metal). I have the original cast iron ram exhaust for the A/C car- This is an original A/C equipped 327 car. The condenser is still mounted in front of the radiator and the rubber firewall grommet is still in the firewall. I have the under dash setup with the evaporator for installation. I do not have the compressor.- The power assist unit was replaced ~ 150 miles ago.- To my knowledge the mileage is the original at 39,699- Original (validate with date stamp) 12 bolt posi-traction with 3.73 gears.- Ignition was updated to an MSD- New brake and fuel line- All new bushings, ball joints, and body rubber- Steering wheel was restored in California by custom wheel restoration company- Seatbelts (buckles and ribbing) completely restored- Completely new exhaust installed summer of 2014 Specifics to the sale- I will help with shipping to the extent I will work with a carrier on timing for pickup- The title is clear with no leans- You can view the car during the weekend of August 22nd.
