2002 Mercedes Benz SLK32 AMG. 2002 was the first year for the AMG version of the R170 SLK. Total production for all three model years was only about 4400 cars, of which about half were imported to the US, making this a pretty rare car by today’s standards. You won’t see one of these in your neighbor’s driveway! Black exterior over charcoal interior. Retractable hardtop convertible. 45,200 pampered miles (this may vary slightly at delivery since we still drive the car occasionally), great condition inside and out, runs and drives great, garage kept, accident free. Handmade 3.2L supercharged 6-cylinder engine, rear wheel drive, 5-speed automatic transmission, 349 horsepower. No modifications. Oil changed with Mobil 1 synthetic every 5,000 miles. Tons of power in a lightweight roadster. Power top, power windows, power seats, power locks, Xenon headlamps with washing system, telescopic steering wheel, snap-on cabin wind screen, and much more. AM/FM stereo with cassette and 6 disk CD changer, but you won’t use it much with all that music coming from under the hood! Glossy paint and soft leather. This car has been washed and waxed regularly. Non-smoking owner. Air conditioning is cold. A few very small dings and nicks (too small to photograph and don't detract from the overall appearance of the car), some paint loss/curb rash on wheels (see pics), and some peeling paint on the interior panels of the center console and driver's interior door handle (see pictures, this is fairly common on these models). The bottom portion of the seat heaters do not work, but the back sections do. The catalytic converters vibrate together when cold to make a buzzing sound when shifting into second gear, but this goes away quickly after the cats warm up (usually just a minute or two). Passed Virginia safety and emissions inspections in June 2015. Tires have more than half tread left and the brake pads should be good for at least another 20,000 miles (it's still on the huge original pads and discs – the braking in this car is even more impressive than the acceleration!). Clear title. 2 remotes and owners manual. We are not a dealer. This has been our personal auto for the past 9 years and we’ve had tons of fun with it, but we need to make room in the garage for a new toy. We are the 2nd owner (we bought it certified pre-owned from Mercedes with just 4,600 miles). You will not be disappointed. Lots of fun and performance for the money!
