Vehicle Detail

PLEASE READ ENTIRE AUCTION INCLUDING ALL DETAILS, DESCRIPTIONS, AND DISCLOSURES BEFORE BIDDING. AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT BID UNTIL YOU READ ENTIRE AUCTION. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.PLEASE LOOK CLOSE AT ALL PICS FOR MOST ACCURATE DESCRIPTION... The dolly the bike is sitting on is not included. The 1973 Triumph Hurricane was considered a breakthrough for Triumph. It’s been called the “first cruiser” and undeniably the first “custom” motorcycle for Triumph. This beautiful piece of motorcycle history was designed by the outstanding Designer/Engineer Craig Vetter. It has become one of the most sought after motorcycles by collectors and enthusiasts around the World. The bike had a limited production run of 1,172 and there are not that many great survivors....but, this is one of them! I bought this motorcycle from Baxter Cycle in 2007. It was the best, low mileage example I could find. And, I had the assurance of dealing with an extremely reputable firm! Randy Baxter prepped the motorcycle for storage/display and it has been in my collection, displayed since. It still has it’s 5,106 miles as when I bought it from Baxter Cycle and has been kept in a climate controlled environment. The motorcycle has not been restored, but, the body work/paint has been reconditioned to original specifications by Baxter. If you know these bikes, you know that without this type of preventative measure that the fiberglass bodywork deteriorated. The motorcycle is in very, very good original condition overall. There is some deterioration (under the seat) of the rear fender chrome. It appears the chrome has lifted , rather than pitting of the chrome....this condition is likely on most all of these original motorcycles. These motorcycles have been skyrocketing in value over the last few years with similar examples reaching well into the $20K to $30k range. We are offering a starting bid price of $18,999...a low number considering it’s low mileage, great original condition and the current selling prices of these models. Included is a limited edition print of the Craig Vetter design group (signed by Craig Vetter) depicting the design of the X75 taking place. Also included is the owners manual, which is NOS in the package. You won't be disappointed with this fine motorcycle! SHIPPING??? If the motorcycle is restored and has been in a private collection, then we clean it, photo it and list it. If you buy one of these outstanding, restored motorcycles and intend to ride it, we recommend that you carefully service the motorcycle (or have this done by a professional) to prepare it for the road. Things such as tires may be New Old Stock, more than 25 years old and as such are quite valuable, but, potentially not roadworthy. Thank you for your understanding. We love selling these incredible motorcycles….we want every buyer to be pleased and safe! Oh, be sure to ask questions before bidding. We will get back to you as soon as possible! Happy Bidding!!
