Vehicle Detail

1973 Dodge Charger Rallye Edition Here is the Charger that all of you true Mopar guys have been waiting for. This Charger up for auction is the perfect classic muscle car to enjoy the rest of the summer hanging out at the local car shows in your area. It is not a show car, but I believe it has a chance at winning something at your local area shows. There is one small indentation near the edge of the passenger front fender by the cornering light. The paint does look very presentable, and I would rate it as a nice driver quality. I can't see anyone not loving this car at first sight! This is the type of car that even after you park it, you can't help yourself from turning around to take another look at it as you're walking away. These 1970's muscle cars have incredible investment potential, and have been referred to as rolling bank accounts. I don't know all that much about Mopars, but according to the previous owner this Charger is the Rallye Edition and is an original color car. It think this color was called Top Banana Yellow. The options include the cool Power Bulge hood, dual sport mirrors with the drivers side being remote controlled, front chin spoiler, rear deck lid spoiler, front and rear bumper guard option, and the Tuff Wheel with the sweet black striping kit. The gentleman I bought the car from said it could have the original numbers matching Magnum 400, but he did not know for certain. If anyone wants me to check where the numbers are I would be happy to do so. This 400 engine was stroked to a 451 cubic inch displacement with over 500 horsepower at 10:1 compression. It has Ross Racing pistons and an Isky high performance cam shaft. It also has an Edelbrock High Performance Aluminum Intake Manifold, and Edelbrock Aluminum Heads. There is a Holley 800 Double Pumper carburetor, and Doug Turley chromed headers with 3" inch dual exhaust from the headers on back. There is a Holley Annilator Ignition for maximum spark with Holley Annilator 8mm spark plug wires that have the extra protection around the end of the wires to eliminate the chance of burnt wires. The transmission is a 727 torque-flite with a Cheetah valve body, and a 10" inch converter with an extra transmission cooler mounted to the front of the radiator. The transmission is shifted by a high performance Hurst Shifter. This bad boy is cooled down by an expensive Griffin aluminum radiator for maximum cooling, and has a 16 gallon fuel cell in the trunk with a Holley electric fuel pump. The heavy duty high performance 1100 cranking amp battery is mounted in the trunk to avoid it from moving around. This car is crazy fast to say the least. I've been in fast cars before and I've owned fast cars before. I have to say this is in the top 5 of the fastest cars I've ever owned. This is a great car to take to the drag strip. I wouldn't doubt it that this car is in the 11's somewhere in the quarter mile. This Charger was originally a 4-speed car, and the clutch pedal is still spring loaded, and in place. The new owner will have the awesome decision of changing it back to a 4-speed. If I were keeping this car that is exactly what I would do. This Charger rides on a nice set of four P235/60R14 inch Goodyear Wingfoot HP raised white lettered steel belted radial tires with good tread mounted on Magnum 500 wheels with all new chrome lug nuts, all four center caps, and all four beauty trim rings. There is an awesome Posi-traction rear-end, but I am unsure of the gear ratio. The suspension on this Charger allows it to sit up just right with the stance of a brutal muscle car. The very nice original trunk floor was coated with Black and Aqua spatter spray for the trunk to stay in nice condition for many years to come. The inside of the trunk has a new trunk mat that carries a full size spare tire with an original restored jack and crow bar. The chrome is all there from what I know about these cars, and appears in good drivers quality condition. Even the original front license plate bracket is still above the front bumper. There is a factory AM radio in the dash, but it is not hooked up. The front bucket seats are from a newer Mopar as far as I can tell, and they do recline. They are very comfortable! Those were the seats that came with the car when the purchase was made. The whole interior looks in relatively nice condition as shown in the pictures. This Charger was factory ordered with power steering, and steering this car is a delight. There are power front disc brakes that allow this Charger to stop very well. I checked the front brake pads and they are like new. The speedometer will need a new cable, but it does have the 150 mph speedo. The undercarriage is in amazingly nice shape. I could not see any rusted places where these cars typically were known to rust. An exorbitant amount of time, money, and effort went into making this classic Charger stand out above the rest. These older classics that have survived for over 40 years are becoming harder and harder to find in this condition. The Nada Classic Car Price Guide currently has the 1973 Dodge Charger with the Magnum 400 and a 4-speed listed at $26,390 in high condition, which they consider an excellent overall vehicle that was completely restored, or an original vehicle showing very minimal wear. Note: This value does not represent a 100 point show car or a #1 vehicle. Those vehicles can reach much higher prices. $17,225 in average condition, which they consider in good overall condition that could be an older restoration or a well maintained original vehicle that is completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. They say an average condition car is considered a 20-Footer! As shown in the pictures this Charger looks in far better condition than what they classify as an average condition car. This is an awesome Charger that I can't see anyone being disappointed with for whatever this auction ends up at. I believe everywhere this Charger is driven you will be the spectacle of the neighborhood. All your neighbors will know you're coming! Whatever this classic Mopar sells for in this no reserve auction is a win/win investment. This Charger is an investment that I believe will continue to rise as these cars have shown to consistently escalate in value. This car is for the guy or girl that always wanted one back in high school, or maybe wants to show off at their high school reunion to prove how cool they still are. Here is a prime opportunity to acquire your dream car at a nominal price. I know my descriptions can be a little long winded, but I try to list everything I can think of when I write a description, so every potential bidder can make the most informed decision prior to placing their bid. If you feel I may have left anything out please ask as many questions as you like. I pride myself in answering every question in explicit detail with the utmost honesty. What you see is exactly what you get! This car is being offered at "No Reserve" on a 3-day listing. It will sell to the highest bidder on Sunday evening at 5:00pm Pacific, 7:00pm Central, or 8:00pm Eastern time depending on your location. This way the new owner could actually be cruising by next weekend! There are still plenty of car shows to attend this season!! Thank You for taking the time to read and view my auction!!! Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
