Vehicle Detail

1970 Porsche 911E Hot Rod Carrera RS tribute R-Gruppe Outlaw style This 1970 911E coupe VIN 91102000151 is originally a Canadian car now US imported, cleared and actively registered in Rhode Island. I found the car two years ago unfinished mid-RS restyle in a heated shed outside Toronto while I was doing my surgery residency. I finished the car off with a period-correct Carrera RS ducktail and grille, custom speedster mirrors, new euro H4 headlights, refreshed interior with RS style and billet details, new Porsche floor mats, a Blaupunkt stereo and speakers, some rewiring and mechanical tuning. The result is the clean and mean 911E hot rod I am selling here. The car runs well, starts right up, and does not leak or smoke. The engine is a 3.0L flat six aluminum block 911SC engine with Bosch K-Jetronic injection and a 5-speed transmission. The engine features custom turbo-style aluminum upper and lower valve covers, a performance air filter, Weltmeister airbox straps, and a custom dual exhaust. The battery has been relocated and the car features a race style fuel tank (this could be set up with a through-hood center fill for even more of a performance look). The car rides on a nice set of rare 3 piece Momo R3 wheels and good tires. I also have a set of reproduction Fuchs in good condition that could be sold separately from the car. Overall, the car’s condition on Hagerty’s scale would be a 3; there are some minor flaws. These include 2 small tears in the leather seats, the driver left bolster and in the middle of the seat on the passenger side (both of which have been repaired and are stable), 3 small 3mm paint blebs on the hood (I attempted to photograph these but they don’t show in photos), some other small paint defects (hairline scratches on the lower bumper and a few small paint chips). The car has no appreciable rust. The suspension, clutch and brakes feel good; the car stops fast, handles well and never slips gears. 48,805 kms on odometer (30,205 miles). 0-60 in approximately 6.6 sec. The number on the fan shroud is 9011061015R and on the engine case is 9011051110R. The car looks great and its performance matches its looks. The car is a blast to drive; it runs and handles great. I am sad to see this car go, it’s a favorite of mine, but I need to move forward on another project. Someone is going to thoroughly enjoy owning this 911E. Please see more pictures and a video of the car at https://flic.kr/s/aHskgfphoB Message me with any questions and I will do my best to answer them as quickly as possible. In RI the registration serves as a title for cars over 25 years old. I have a file of all the documents relevant to the vehicle since I have owned it. This is a 45 year old car in great condition but please keep in mind that this isn't a new Porsche or a Singer style "reimagination". The car is sold AS-IS with no warranty. The buyer must contact the seller within 24 hours of auction end to make arrangements for payment. If not contact is made within 24 hours the seller may relist the car or sell it to the next highest bidder. On Jul-19-15 at 05:54:56 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer some common questions: the fenders are steel but the flares are fiberglass, the RS bumpers and ducktail are also fiberglass, as usual, the rear and front grilles are powder coated aluminum. There is no rust in the original battery box, headlight boxes, driver, passenger floors or rear seat pans. If there ever was it has been cut out and re-welded professionally. They look good from above and below. I have not found any rust. Please see some pictures from underneath in the link above. The gas gauge is not currently working, I will have a look at this. All the other gauges work. The car is in kmph, rare to find in North America. Overall this Porsche runs, drives and looks great. It turns heads and gets compliments all day long. Happy bidding and safe driving. On Jul-19-15 at 06:21:12 PDT, seller added the following information: The wheels are 17 inches and do not rub. The car rides great on the current wheel and tire set up. As I said before I have a set of replica Fuchs as well if the buyer is interested in purchasing them separately.
