Vehicle Detail
Awesome 1963 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible with 260 cu in V8 and 4-Speed Transmission with only 48,836 actual miles. I am selling this beautiful 1963 Ford Falcon convertible which needs nothing but a driver. The car has been professionally restored paying attention to every detail. This incredible vintage Falcon Convertible is a beautiful Blue base coat/Clear Coat with the original type Blue and White Interior and a blue convertible top. This cool 1963 Falcon was built at the Lorain Ohio Ford plant in June of 1963. The car was originally shipped with Blue interior and a White exterior (according to the data plate), the car was changed to its current beautiful blue color in the restoration 3 years ago. This 1963 convertible came with a 260 cu in V-8 Cylinder engine and a 4 speed transmission. It was represented to me that the car is a numbers matching falcon and with the low mileage it appears to be. The car was restored several years ago and is in perfect condition. The exterior paint is excellent and looks better in person that it does in the photos. The interior is in beautiful shape with no cracks, wear or tears with the exception of a small spot in the driver's seat (see photos). The carpets are in great condition and the dash, dash trim, gauges, controls and steering wheel have been refurbished to original condition. The Blue convertible top is like new but has a spot in it (see photo) The top is power but needs a little help going up, down is fine so it just may need fluid. All of the lights and gauges work with the exception of the radio. The Speedometer, Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, Generator and fuel indicators all work well and are accurate. The car is equipped with the original type exhaust manifold and twin exhaust pipes out the rear of the car, they sound cool and the car has a real sports car sound. This car runs, drives and handles great, the cooling system keeps the car at the correct temperature and the oil pressure is great. The car has a set of American Racing Mags with almost new tires that look awesome on the car. There is a car cover included with the car. The body is very, very straight and all body lines align very well. There is no sign of rust anywhere and no sign of body filler. The windshield and side glass is in excellent condition with all new weather stripping installed during the restoration. All of the trim and chrome was either restored or replace during the restoration. According to Black Books CPI edition these cars in perfect condition (# 2 cars) sell for up to $25,000, This car is very close to a #2 car and I am selling this cool ride at a fraction of its worth. The information on the data tag checks out to be correct along with the VIN number. The car is being sold as is and I encourage you to review my feedback and come see this beautiful Convertible. I also have the car on sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. I can help arrange shipping anywhere in the world at the new owner’s expense. My Name is Bob Davis and the car is stored in my shop in Vidalia Ga, it is available for review anytime during this auction. My cell number is 912-293-5622 and I return all calls. Please do not bid if you cannot close the deal and the car must be fully paid for before it is released to the new owner. Thank you for looking and if you bid, good luck. You will be bidding on a real piece of American history and a beautiful example of American Auto Art, what a thrill to own and drive a part of history.
