Vehicle Detail

1966 Porsche 911 built in 1965. Drivetrain is all original with engine number 901/01 3346.Original slate grey car with 6601 paint code. 5 speed transmission has been rebuilt 901/0.The only rust found was a pencil size hole. Has been undercoated for many years and there's no dents, scrapes or other major indications of rust. Only surface rust where the paint is missing underneath. The bottom edges of the fenders etc. There is no rust in the front trunk area The car runs and drives. Engine is original and does emit blue smoke under acceleration. Front end is mostly original. Wheels are after market. Presently licensed and registered in Alberta. The seats are from a later Porsche and the dash has been wrapped in a nice looking vinyl. The car has the wide body conversion from years ago. The paint is very good and there's no rust on the panels and limited amount of scratches. Everything is working on the car except the parking brake. The rear fenders are fibreglass. Will deliver the car to the Montana US border. Any questions or additional pictures, please ask. Car is for sale locally, and seller reserves the right to remove the listing. If the reserve is met, the car will be sold.On Jul-14-15 at 20:15:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Engine number 903644, transmission number 227114. The engine casting number is 3546. Correction from initial description. Please call or email for additional photos, etc. (780) 222 6265On Jul-18-15 at 21:04:26 PDT, seller added the following information: We thought the motor might be original but there's the possibility it could of been rebuilt. There are no problems with the power and the engine is clean and no leaks. After 49 years, it's possible the engine may of been done. My history for the car is limited and don't know the engine history, but it doesn't need to be rebuilt. The car accelerates and drives well at hyway speed without trying to push the car. The mention of the blue smoke under acceleration was from a friend who followed me after starting the car from sitting for 3 weeks. The car only warmed up for 60s and we were rolling. We have seen some smoke on a cold start but never a cloud. There is a oil leak on the drain plug for the oil tank. There is a very small drip from the transmission after driving the car. One drip after It sits. When restored back to factory, I think the Steve McQueen slate grey will make this porsche worth $10k more than the colourful Porsches. I wish we had the extra money to do so. The auction is now unreserved and if the high bidder fails to complete the purchase, we will ask the bidder down if they wish to proceed. The car is indoors and will remain until the purchaser can arrange shipping. We can hold the car for an extended time frame if needed. Many thanks
