Vehicle Detail
The 1974 Honda CL 200 is a rare bike. It was only manufactured for one year and its value increases with time. However rare though, it shares many features with common Honda CB 200. This makes most replacement parts available. This would be a relatively simple and definitely worthwhile motorcycle to restore. It is a great size bike, small and easy to control with great gas mileage, yet enough power to ride at higher speeds. The condition of this Motorcycle is fair for the year but is being sold “AS IS". It runs and shifts through all gears, has compression and spark. All parts appear to be original; oil is changed, stored in heated garage. There appears to be a little oil near one shock, it doesn't seem to want to keep the battery charged, possibly the stator or wiring. One spark plug hole seems loose until fully tightened and may need a helicoil, small hole in exhaust pipe; head light and turn signal are broken, gas cap needs new latch. These are the things I have noticed. I can not guarantee anything else mechanically because I have not had a chance to really go through it. As well as the fact that I only have a limited amount of mechanical knowledge. The reason I'm selling this motorcycle is simply a matter of time, I would really like to restore it, but I cant see much free time in the foreseeable future. About a year ago I purchased several things for the bike as part of restoring it. Those are; new battery, coil and wires, spark plugs, good used sprocket, fuel shut off valve, points, ignition switch, front tire tube, throttle cable and foot shifter. These are all included and some are already on the bike. Included with the bike is an old style NY license place which is on the bike. It comes with the original owner’s manual, the title from a previous owner and a Bill of Sale. The original title to the bike was signed by a previous owner who never registered it. I don't know exactly how this works at DMV, but it should be doable, the title is Clear. The bike came from a friend of my brothers and we took it from his heated basement where it sat for many years. Payment due in full at the close of the auction. You can pick it up at my location or I am willing to crate it up and ship it to you for an extra $75 to crate and pack + freight shipping charges. I am also willing to meet you half way or deliver for gas money within the nearby area. Contact me directly to establish the specifics.
